Objective: To summarize the clinical features, laboratory tests and outcomes in patients with tuberculous meningitis and Secondary liver injury, and provide some reference for tuberculous meningitis with impaired liver function in anti-TB treatment. Methods: A retrospective follow-up study was used to collect clinical features and outcomes of 149 TBM patients at the First Affiliated Hospital of Chongqing Medical University from January 2013 to December 2018,61 patients with liver function injury were selected.Results:(1)149 patients with tuberculous meningitis were included,61 patients has appeared secondary liver injury, with an incidence of 40.9%,including 42.6%(26 cases)of men, with an average age of 41(28-48)years.(2)Headache(90.1%,55 cases),fever(80.3%,49 cases),nausea and vomiting(59.2%,39 cases)were the most common complaints of tuberculous meningitis,The average time from onset to regular anti-TB treatment is 10 days(7~20 days).(3)Secondary liver function damage has always occurred on the 10 th day(1-36),while most patients(73.7%)have a better prognosis after liver protection.(4)Age(41~50 years)may be the independent risk factors for secondary liver damage.(5)Limb weakness, late anti-TB treatment and lower GCS scores were independent predictors for a poor outcome, and It seems that secondary liver damage does not affect the outcomes of the patients with tuberculous meningitis if received liver-protected treatment. Conclusions: The incidence of TBM patients with secondary liver damage in China is high.Whether it does not affect outcome after liver-protecting treatment.Age may be the only independent risk factors for liver function impairment in patients with TBM.In this trial, late anti-TB treatment, low GCS score, limb weakness were the independent risk factors for poor outcomes in patients with tuberculous meningitis. |
