A Case Report Of Seminal Vesicle Cystadenomaand Review Of The Literature

Objective: To investigate the clinical manifestations,pathologica features,diagnosis and treatment of the seminal vesicles’ Cystadenom a.Methods: The clinical data of a 37-year-old patient with cystade noma of the seminal vesicle admitted to our hospital were analyzed r etrospectively and the literature was reviewed.Results: The main manifestations of the patients were hemosper mia,dysuria,lower urinary-tract symptoms(LUTSs)and gross hema turia.Transabdominal ultrasonography,computed tomography and mag netic resonance imaging were performed and revealed a large solid-cy stic pelvic mass measured 7.0 cm×11.9 cm×8.6 cm on the right semi nal vesicle,which caused hydronephrosis of the right kidney.The Pr ostate specific antigen of the patient was 27.860 ng/dl.After carefull y assessed,a laparoscopic vesiculectomy was performed at last,and the postoperative pathology revealed cystadenoma of the seminal vesi cle.The 12‐month follow‐up showed no evidence of recurrence an d his hydronephrosis resolved.The patient was free of symptoms of urinary tract and he had normal erections,effective sexual intercourse.Conclusion: Cystadenomas of the SV are extremely.This case rep ort demonstrated a large SV cystadenoma causing LUTSs,dysuia,gro ss haematuria,haematospermia.Transabdominal ultrasonography,enha nced CT and MRI are useful in diagnostic investigations for the dete ction and characterisation of SV cystadenoma.Transperitoneal laparoscopic vesiculectomy can be safely and can be a good way for treatm ent of large cystadenoma of SV.
