Coronary artery atherosclerotic heart disease is a common heart disease in China. Its correct diagnosis and treatment has an important impact on people’s health and prognosis. With the development of science and technology,it is no longer enough to identify the two-dimensional structure of coronary artery lumen by coronary angiography alone.Intervention doctors are seeking a higher resolution and more direct intraluminal imaging technology. The emergence of intravascular coronary imaging technology improves our understanding of coronary artery disease and promotes the decision-making of percutaneous coronary intervention.Previous intracoronary imaging technology mainly focused on intravascular ultrasound, and its clinical application has provided a significant contribution to modern PCI technology.Optical coherence tomography(OCT)is a new generation of intracoronary imaging technology.Compared with intravascular ultrasound,OCT has higher resolution and sensitivity. It further deepens clinicians’ understanding of coronary atherosclerotic heart disease and expands the scope of coronary interventional therapy for acute coronary syndrome and the application ofpost-operative evaluation.Use.At present, optical coherence tomography(OCT)has been widely used in developed countries, but this project has not been widely carried out in China.Starting from the development of OCT,this article reviews the current clinical application of OCT,especially in guiding the choice of treatment strategies for acute coronary syndrome.
