Objective:To observe the clinical efficacy of treating winter disease in summer method for patients with knee osteoarthritis of liver and kidney deficiency syndrome, and to provide new ideas for treating symptoms and delaying the recurrence of knee osteoarthritis. Methods:The patients stem from the first affiliation hospital of the Heilongjiang University of Traditional Chinese Medicine orthopedic clinic during the period of June 2018 to August 2018.In accordance with the diagnosis of knee osteoarthritis, and the Chinese medicine syndrome differentiation for liver and kidney deficiency, patients accumulated 120 cases.Adopting the random number table method,120 patients with knee osteoarthritis(liver and kidney deficiency syndrome)were randomly divided into two groups, and 60 patients in the control group were acupuncture therapy(1 time per day,30 minutes each time, and 2 weeks of continuous treatment). The treatment group were applied to the dog-days acupoint paste therapy. After the treatment, the VAS score,JKOM score and the evaluation of the curative effect of traditional Chinese medicine were observed before and after the treatment and in the winter days.Results:1.Group comparison: After the treatment, the VAS score,JKOM score, and Chinese medicine efficacy score of the two groups(patients in the control group and the treatment group)were all lower than before the treatment, and the two groups of patients had differences in comparison with before the treatment. The difference was statistically significant(P < 0.01).In one,two and three nine winter days, the VAS score and JKOM score of the two groups of patients(control group and test group)were all lower than the pre-treatment score, and both had statistical significant(P<0.05 or P<0.01).2.Inter-group comparison: After the treatment, the control group and the treatment group had statistical significant in terms of VAS score,JKOM score, and Chinese medicine efficacy(P <0.05),but the VAS score(1.19±1.41)and JKOM score(14.53±9.68)after treatment in the control group were lower than the VAS(1.69±1.22)and JKOM(18.28±10.05)in the treatment group; In one,two and three nine winter days, the control group and the treatment group had statistical significant in VAS score,JKOM score, and Chinese medicine efficacy(P< 0.05 or P<0.01),and the treatment group score was lower.Conclusion:1.Both the treating winter disease in summer method and acupuncture treatment can decrease the degree of pain in patients with liver and kidney deficiency syndrome of knee osteoarthritis.Acupuncture treatment has a better effect on pain relief in the short term after treatment. In the same year,it was observed that the degree of pain in patients using the treating winter disease in summer method were lower.2.The treatment method compared with acupuncture can significantly decrease the JKOM score for patients with liver and kidney deficiency syndrome of knee osteoarthritis in three nine winter days.3.The treating winter disease in summer method can significantly reduce the recurrence of knee osteoarthritis in three nine winter days than the control group. |
