The Investigation Of The Status Quo Of Iodine Intake,Thyroid Disease,Glucose And Lipid Metabolism In Renqiu,Licun Town Of Shijiazhuang In Hebei Province | Posted on:2020-08-08 | Degree:Master | Type:Thesis | Country:China | Candidate:Z J Feng | Full Text:PDF | GTID:2404330590465077 | Subject:Internal medicine | Abstract/Summary: | PDF Full Text Request | Objective:To realize the prevalence of iodine intake,thyroid disease and abnormal glucose and lipid metabolism in Renqiu of Cangzhou and Licun town of Shijiazhuang in Hebei Province,and to analyze the differences of various metabolic diseases among the investigated population,urban and rural areas and between genders.Methods:Using cluster random sampling method,Licun Town of Shijiazhuang and Renqiu of Cangzhou in Hebei were selected as survey sites.From October2015 to March 2016,we selected the local residents(living with more than 5years)as the research subjects,the total population is 2650,to get on on-site registration,fill out the informed consent and questionnaire investigation,carry out physical examination,blood test,urinalysis,and thyroid ultrasonography,etc.,and demographic information and test results of subjects were entered into the database for summary,collation and analysis.Results:1.The median body mass index(BMI)of all subjects in the two regions of Hebei was 24.92kg/m~2,and the subjects were overweight as a whole.The BMI in urban was higher than that in rural(25.10kg/m~2 vs.24.49kg/m~2),and the BMI of males was higher than that of females(25.71kg/m~2 vs.24.12kg/m~2),and the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).2.In terms of urinary iodine,the median urinary iodine(MUI)of all subjects was 201.05μg/L.The MUI in rural is higher than that in urban(214.40μg/L vs 188.70μg/L),and the MUI of males was higher than that of females(210.30μg/L vs 192.50μg/L),all with statistically significant differences(P<0.05).3.In terms of thyroid function,the prevalence of thyroid disease in all subjects was 29.66%,the prevalence of thyroid disease in urban was higher than that in rural(34.17%vs.24.66%),and the prevalence of thyroid disease in females was higher than that in males(37.97%vs.24.32%),the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).4.The prevalence of thyroid disease in urban were higher than that in rural in the iodine deficiency group,the iodine adequate group and the iodine excessive group,and the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05),but the difference was not significant in the iodine super-sufficient group.The prevalence of thyroid disease in females were higher than that in males in all groups,and the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).5.In terms of glucose metabolism,the prevalence of diabetes was10.42%among all subjects,the prevalence of diabetes in urban was higher than that in rural(12.13%vs.8.51%),and the prevalence of diabetes in males was higher than that in females(13.02%vs.7.44%),all with statistically significant differences(P<0.05).6.In terms of lipid metabolism,the prevalence of lipid metabolism disorder was 41.25%among all subjects.The prevalence of lipid metabolism disorder in urban was higher than that in rural(50.47%vs.31.03%),and the difference was statistically significant(χ~2=103.046,P<0.05).The prevalence of lipid metabolism disorder in males was higher than that in females(41.94%vs 40.28%),and the difference was not statistically significant(χ~2=0.661,P=0.416).7.In terms of uric acid,the prevalence of hyperuricemia was 8.64%among all subjects.The prevalence of hyperuricemia in rural was higher than that in urban(9.39%vs 7.97%),and the difference was not statistically significant(χ~2=1.685,P=0.194).The prevalence of hyperuricemia in males was higher than that in females(12.21%vs 4.88%),and the difference was statistically significant(χ~2=46.401,P<0.05).Conclusions:1.The levels of iodine intake in urban and rural of Hebei province were different,and the level of iodine intake in rural was higher than that in urban.The level of iodine intake in males was higher than that in females.2.The prevalence of thyroid disease in urban was higher than that in rural of Hebei province,and that in females is higher than that in males.After grouping by iodine intake level,the prevalence of iodine deficiency group,iodine adequate group and iodine excessive group were still higher in urban than that in rural.The prevalence in females was higher than that in males in all groups.3.The prevalence of diabetes and lipid metabolism disorder in urban was higher than that in rural of Hebei province,and the prevalence of hyperuricemia was lower than that in rural.The prevalence of diabetes,lipid metabolism disorder and hyperuricemia in males was higher than that in females. | Keywords/Search Tags: | Urinary iodine, Glucose metabolism, Lipid metabolism, Uric acid, Thyroid function | PDF Full Text Request | Related items |
