Objective:To explore the prognostic value of neutrophil/lymphocyte ratio(The ratio of the absolute neutrophil count to the absolute lymphocyte count,NLR)in patients with diffuse large b-cell lymphoma(Diffuse large B-cell lymphoma,DLBCL).Methods:A retrospective analysis was performed on 262 patients with DLBCL who were initially treated in tumor hospital of Shanxi Province.ROC curve was used to calculate the NLR truncation value, and the patients were divided into high NLR group and low NLR group.Single and multiple factors were used to analyze the prognostic factors affecting total survival(overall survival,OS)and progression-free survival(Progression-free survival,PFS).Results:The optimal truncation value of NLR was 3.8,and the difference of OS(86.5%VS 71.4%,P=0.004)and PFS(50.6%VS 26.8%,P<0.001)between the low NLR group and the high NLR group was statistically significant.Multivariate analysis showed that high NLR was an independent prognostic factor influencing patients’ OS and PFS.Subgroup analysis showed that patients with high NLR had worse OS and PFS in the low/low middle score of IPI(0-2)group and patients with high NLR had shorter OS in the high/high middle score of IPI(3-5)group,but there was no significant statistical difference in PFS.Conclusions:As a simple and feasible prognostic index,NLR is of great value for the prognosis of DLBCL patients.High NLR suggests a poorer prognosis.
