Objective:An objective of a dissertation is to study the content of nurse’s endocrine system and metabolic drug prescription in China so as to provide scientific reference and theoretical basis for the government to formulate relevant policies and laws.Methods:Through literature review and information retrieval within the domestic and foreign databases and websites,the contents of endocrine system and metabolic drug prescription werepreliminarily developed.A semi-structured interview was conducted with 2 doctors and 2 nurses in the endocrinology departmentbased on the literature review.According to the interview results,the preliminary expert questionnairewas revised to form the formal first-round expert consultation questionnaire.Delphi method: 42 experts,including 14 medical experts and 28 nursing experts,were invited in the study who was from fourteen third-grade class-A hospital in 10 provinces in China.Two rounds of expert consultation were implemented,and the final research results were obtained by the statistical analysis.Results:After two rounds of expert consultation,it is not recommended to enable the clinical nurses in China to prescribe the endocrine system drugs,whereas it is suggested to enable the clinical nurses in China to prescribe the five categories of metabolic disease drugs,including oral hypoglycemic drugs,insulin and its analogues,diabetes and other related drugs,calcium and phosphorus metabolism and osteoporosis drugs and lipid drug.A total of 24 drug categories are involved: reaglinide,nagalenide,metformin,acarbose,voglitazone,migliol,rosiglitazone,sitagliptin and sagliptin within oral hypoglycemic drugs;glargine insulin and insulin detemirwithin Insulin and its insulinanalogues;exenatide;liraglutide;epalrestatwithin Diabetes and other related drugs;vitamin D,calcitriol,alfa-calcitriol,calcium,and osteoformwithin osteoporosis drugs;Pravastatin,fluvastatin,atorvastatin,resuvastatin and fenofibrate within lipid-regulating drugs.The experts tend to enable the nurse to prescribe calcium and osteoform independently and vitamin D,calcitriol and alfa-calcitriol by protocol;the other drugs,including reaglinide,nagalenide,metformin,acarbose,voglitazone,migliol,rosiglitazone,sitagliptin and sagliptin,glargine insulin,insulin detemir,exenatide;liraglutide;epalrestat,Pravastatin,fluvastatin,atorvastatin,resuvastatin and fenofibrate,were suggested toadjust and extend the prescription by clinical nurse in China.Conclusion:Firstly,the formal first-round expert consultation questionnaire was developed.Through literature review and a semi-structured interview,including 14 kinds of drugs of the first round of the 144 drugs.Following by two rounds of Delphi expert consultation,it is not recommended to enable the clinical nurses in China to prescribe the endocrine system drugs,whereas it is suggested to enable the clinical nurses in China to prescribe five categories of metabolic disease drugs as well as preferred prescription form.Regarding to the experts,14 doctors and 28 nurses are from fourteen third-grade class-A hospital often provinces in China.Forty-two experts are proficient in the clinical field of endocrine and metabolic diseases.The coefficient of expert authority was 0.885,and the positive coefficient of experts in the two rounds was 89.0% and 100%,respectively.The results were credible.
