Objective:To explore the clinical significance of fasting serum C-peptide level and blood uric acid level in patients with type 2 diabe tes mellitus complicated with acute cerebral infarction,so as to provi de certain diagnostic and therapeutic basis for preventing and slowing down the progression of patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus to ce rebral infarction. Methods:A retrospective study was conducted in this study,122 patients with acute cerebral infarction were divided into type 2 diabet es mellitus group and type 2 diabetes mellitus complicated with acute cerebral infarction group according to whether the patients complicat ed with acute cerebral infarction or not.The differences of main clini cal indicators were compared between the two groups.Results:(1)The level of fasting serum C-peptide in type 2 diabe tes mellitus group was higher than that in type 2 diabetes mellitus c omplicated with acute cerebral infarction group, and the difference w as statistically significant(P<0.05);the level of total cholesterol an d low density lipoprotein in type 2 diabetes mellitus group was lowe r than that in type 2 diabetes mellitus combined with acute cerebral infarction group, and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05);there was no significant difference in the remaining indicators(P>0.05).(2)Multiple logistic regression analysis showed that fasting seru m C-peptide was negatively correlated with type 2 diabetes mellitus complicated with acute cerebral infarction(P=0.000,OR=0.06,95%CI:0.01-0.24).Multiple logistic regression analysis showed that se rum uric acid was positively correlated with type 2 diabetes mellitus complicated with acute cerebral infarction(P=0.014,OR=1.01,95%C 1:1.00-1.01).(3)There was no significant difference in the concentration of C-peptide and uric acid in fasting serum between mild group and mod erate and severe group of type 2 diabetes mellitus complicated with acute cerebral infarction(P>0.05).There was no difference in the d istribution of systolic pressure, diastolic pressure, total cholesterol, hig h density lipoprotein, low density lipoprotein and glycosylated hemogl obin between the two groups(P>0.05)Conclusions:(1)Fasting serum C-peptide was negatively correlate d with type 2 diabetes mellitus complicated with acute cerebral infarc tion, which was a protective factor for type 2 diabetes mellitus comp licated with acute cerebral infarction.(2)Blood uric acid was positively correlated with type 2 diabete s mellitus complicated with acute cerebral infarction, and was a risk factor for type 2 diabetes mellitus complicated with acute cerebral inf arction.(3)There was no significant correlation between blood uric acid and fasting serum C-peptide levels and the degree of nervous functi on deficiency in type 2 diabetes mellitus complicated with acute cere bral infarction.
