Effect Of Shenqi Granule And Baduanjin On Cardiac Function And Quality Of Life In Patients With Coronary Heart Disease After PCI

Objective:The objective of this research is to investigate effects of Shenqi granule combined with Baduanjin on cardiac function and quality of life of patients with coronary heart disease(CHD)after PCI,and we hope to find out a new therapy that can help to improve the cardiac function and quality of life of patients with CHD after PCI.In this subject,we put up treatment for CHD patients which combines traditional Chinese medicine(TCM)and modern cardiac rehabilitation.We hope to provide more evidence-based medical evidences for treatment of Shenqi granule combined with Baduanjin on the treatment of CHD patients,and to provide new ideas for the follow-up treatment of CHD after PCI by the carry out of the intervention of Shenqi granule combined with I3aduan jin in treating patients with CHD after elective PCI.Methods:This project is under implement of a prospective randomized controlled clinical trial by select patients who underwent PCI from January 2018 to December 2018 in the Cardiovascular Medicine Department(CMD)of FoshanHospital of Traditional Chinese Medicine.Those patients were dignoscd with main TCM syndrome of Qi deficiency and blood stasis by according to their main clinical symptoms、tongue man i festation and pulse signs,and their age,gender,medical conditional history,family history,smoking history,and some other basic blood test results were collected preoperatively and after post-trial.The patients’ cardiac function and quality of life were comprehensively evaluated by 6-minute walking test(6MWT),metabolic equivalent(METs),left ventricular ejection fraction(LVEF)and syndrome score of TCM within 1 week before operation and 2 months later after the operation.The final data of the two groups(experimental group and control group)were collected and analysised statistically after the experiment as showing in the followering.Results:(1)A total of 70 eligible PCI patients were collected in this study,including 50 males(71.43%)and 20 females(28.57%),and the male-female ratio is 2.5-1.The average age of the patients was 57.21 years old(58.11±7.94 in the control group,56.31±10.06 in the experimental group),the mainly age was between 45 to 65 years old(68.26%),the average case history of coronary heart disease was 4.31±3.45 years,and the average counting of major cardiovascular risk factors was 3.2.(2)Before the research,patients were randomly divided into two groups that there was no significant difference between the two groups in gender composition,age distribution,history of coronary heart disease,proportion of major risk factors and other basic clinical data(P>0.05).(3)There was no proved significant difference in TCM syndrome scores,6MWT results,Peak METs results and LVEF results between the two groups 1 week before the surgery(P>0.05).Comparison of pre and post tests between the results of respective groups showed that the results of 6MWT,Peak METs and left ventricular ejection fraction(LVEF)of the patients in the two groups were increased compared with those before the operation(P<0.05),and the evaluation of TCM syndrome score was significantly reduced at the end of the experiment(P<0.05).By compared with the control group after the research,the results of 6MWT,METs and left ventricular ejection fraction(LVEF)measured in the experimental group were significantly increased compared with the control group(P<0.05),and the TCM syndrome score was significantly decreased(P<0.05).The D-value of pre and post tests of the both groups showed significant statistical difference in results of 6MWT,Peak METs and the TCM syndrome score(P<0.05).But the D-value results of the both groups in left ventricular ejection fraction(LVEF)were statistically proved not such significantly(P>0.05).(4)Compared with the control group,the total effective rate of the evaluation of postoperative clinical efficacy of TCM of the experimental group was statistically proved to be significant(P=0.009<0.05),and there was no statistically significant difference in adverse reactions(P=1.000>0.05).Conclusion:Shenqi granule combined with Baduanjin can improve oxygen tolerance,exercise ability and cardiac load capacity of patients,so as the quality of life of patients with CHD.The Qi deficiency and blood stasis in patients with coronary heart disease after PCI were comparatively reduced after the therapy,and also it can relieve patients’ feeling of chest pain,anxiety.Shenqi Granule combined with Baduanjin Heart Rehabilitation Scheme is safe and has yet no proved adverse reactions,which desearves to be wildly promoted.
