Purpose:We report the follow-up results of men treated for bilateral cryptorchidism(BC)during adult to evaluate whether orchidopexy makes benefits for fertility and sexual function.Materials and Methods:Thirty adult patients who are bilateral cryptorchidism after undergoing surgery between 2011 and 2016 were retrospectively analyzed. We analyzed their location of testis,,testicular size, serum testosterone(T)levels, histologic findings, and semen analysis, sexual function before and after surgery. Results:Six patients(20%,6/30)declined participation after bilateral orchidopexy. In the remaining twenty-four BC,17 patients underwent bilateral orchidopexy, and 7 patients(included 2 patients with seminoma)underwent unilateral orchidopexy and contralateral orchiectomy.Ejaculated spermatozoa could be obtained from 3 patients. In the 17 patients with BC underwent bilateral orchidopexy,no significant differences were found in T level(389±117ng/dL vs 350±95 ng/dL,p=0.16)and testicular size(4.5±2.4mL vs 4.1±2.3mL,p=0.14).Postoperative IIEF-5 score is 19.2±6.7,and 70.6%(12/17)achieve satisfactory erectile function. Conclusions:Our study indicated that a natural obtain of the semen is possible in adults with bilateral cryptorchidism underwent orchiopexy, although the level of testosterone unchanged, which gave the opportunity for natural pregnant or artificial assisted reproduction.
