Localization And Application Of Chinese Version Work Readiness Scale For Graduate Nurses

ObjectiveOur study is aimed at localized the English version of Work Readiness Scale for Graduate Nurses(WRS-GN)from Walker,so that it can be a useful assessment tool with good reliability and validity for the measurement of the readiness of Chinese graduate nurses.After localization,the Chinese version scale was used to investigate the status quo of work readiness level of Chinese graduate nurses,we also analysis the influencing factors of graduate nurses’ work readiness level.The data can be helpful for university educator to plan target education as well as for hospital employers to select right nurse.MethodsRevision of the initial scale:after the translation,back translation,cultural adjustment and pre-investigation of Work Readiness Scale for Graduate Nurses,we finally get the Chinese version of WRS-GN with 4 dimensions and 46 itemsRevision of the final scale:the initial scale from step one was used to investigate graduate nurses come from our whole nation.The data was analysis with SPSS21.0 and Amos21.0 software.Coefficient of variation method,critical ratio method,Cronbach’ s a coefficient,correlation coefficient method,exploratory factor analysis and confirmatory factor analysis are used to evaluate the reliability and validity of Chinese version of WRS-GN.Influencing factors survey:The Chinese version of the WRS-GN,formally revised before,was used as a research tool to analyze the current status quo of work readiness for graduated nursing students in China and to explore the influencing factors affecting their work readiness level.Results1.After the translation,back translation,and cultural debugging,the initial Chinese Version of the Work Readiness Scale for graduate nurse was formed.After the item analysis and reliability and validity test,the scale will form an initial Chinese version of the graduate nurse with 5 dimensions and 37 entries.Prepare the meter.That is,dimensional work competence(8 items),social intelligence(9 items),professional development(9 items),organization aweaness(7 items),and personal work characteristics(4 items).2.Reliability and validity analysis of the scale:(1)Reliability:the Cronbach’ s a coefficient of the total scale is 0.960,the Cronbach’ s a coefficient of each dimension is 0.793～0.943;2 The Guttman splitting coefficient of the total scale is 0.903,each dimension The Guttman split-half factor is 0.712 to 0.923.(2)Validity:1 Content validity:The scale content validity index(S-CVI)is 0.921,the scale entry(I-CVI)is 0.83～1.00;2 Structural validity:Exploratory factor analysis extracted 5 The cumulative contribution of the common factors is 69.95%.The results of confirmatory factor analysis showed that:X2/df=1.769,RMSEA=0.067,NFI=0.859,RFI=0.839,IFI=0.934,CFI=0.933,TLI=0.923,according to the standard of model conformity test index,X2/df≤3,RMSEA≤0.08,NFI,RFI,IFI,CFI and TLI are all>0.900.Except NFI and RFI,other indicators have reached the standard,indicating that the data fit is reasonable.3.Using the Chinese version of the graduate nurse work preparation metrics for investigation and research,the results show that the total preparation for graduation nurses in China is divided into 261.00±43.44 points,which is at a medium level.The results showed that whether to be a student cadre,whether there is a part-time experience,whether to receive a scholarship,or whether to get along well with the classmates is an influencing factor affecting the job preparation of the graduate nurses.Conclusion1.Through the translation,back translation,cultural debugging,item analysis and reliability and validity evaluation,the Chinese version of the WRS-GN is finally formed,which includes 5 dimensions,namely work competence(8 items),social intelligence(9 items),professional development(9 items),organizational awareness(7 items)and personal work characteristics(4 items).It totally has 38 items.Our results show that the scale has good reliability and validity.2.The work readiness degree of graduated nurses in China is at a medium level.After multiple linear stepwise regression analysis,the results show that whether to be a student cadre,whether there is a part-time experience,whether to get a scholarship,whether to get along with the students is the influencing factor which affecting the work preparation.
