Clinical Study On Treatment Of Non-alcoholic Fatty Liver Disease By Means Of Shuganxiaozhi Decoction

ObjectiveTo observe the clinical efficacy of Shuganxiaozhi decoction,whieh is based on the the theory of invigorating the liver and spleen,moistening and activating blood circulation,in the treatment of non-alcoholic fatty liver disease(NAFLD),and evaluate its clinical safety.MethodsSixty cases of patients suffered from non-alcoholic fatty liver disease treated by department of Liver Diseases in Shenzhen hospital of traditional Chinese Medicine from May 2018 to December 2018 were divided randly into two groups reccording to random number table.The two groups were given lifestyle intervention(diet,exercise,rest and so on)and the control group took Polyene Phosphatidylcholine capsule orally,while the treatment group,Shuganxiaozhi decoction.The total course of treatment was 3 months.Records in the two groups before and after treatment of the main TCM syndrome symptoms,liver function(ALT,AST,γ-GT),blood lipid(TC,TG),uric acid(UA),fasting blood glucose(FBG),ultrasound and Controlled Attenuation Parameter(CAP)measured by liver transient elastography(FibroScan),at the end of treatment,data wiill be sorted and analyzed,to evaluate the clinical efficacy and safety of Shuganxiaozhi decoction in treating patients with NAFLD,and evaluate the consistency of Fibroscan and ultrasound in the diagnosis of fatty liver disease.Results1.There were 6 cases of cure,16 cases of obvious effect,7 cases of general valid and 1 case of treatment failure in the shugan xiaozhi prescription group,and 2 cases,10 cases,15 cases and 3 cases in the control group,respectively,significantly statistical difference(P<0.01)can be observed between the two groups.2.The total score of TCM syndrome-related symptoms in both groups was significantly improved after treatment(P<0.01),and the therapeutic effect was significant in the Shuganxiaozhi group(P<0.01).3.Except diet(P>0.05),the improvement of other 4 main symptoms in the treatment group was better than that in the controlled groun(P<0.05).4.After treatment,the levels of liver enzymes(ALT,AST,γ-GT)and urie acid(UA)in both groups were significantly improved(P<0.01),and the differences were significant between the two groups(P<0.01).5.The serum lipid level(TC,TG)in the Shuganxiaozhi group declined significantly at the end of treatment(P<0.05),while that of controlled group did non inmprove(P>0.05).6.after treatment,the CAP value was significantly improved in both groups(P<0.01),with significant difference between the two groups(P<0.01).7.The ECG,blood routine,urine routine and stool routine of all the patients in the treatment group before and after two tests were in normal range.8.There is a correlation between Fibroscan and ultrasound in the diagnosis of fatty liver disease(r=0.522,P=0.000<0.01),and the correlation is satisfactory(Kappa value=0.744).Conclusion1.Based on the theory of invigorating the liver and spleen,moistening and activating blood circulation,Shuganxiaozhi recipe significantly improve symptoms,liver function and blood lipids in treating NAFLD.2.Shugan xiaozhi recipe has considerable curative effect on non-alcoholic fatty liver disease,which deserves further studied and popularized in treating NAFLD.3.There is a satisfactory correlation between Fibroscan and ultrasound in the diagnosis of NAFLD,Fibroscan is wothy of clinical promotion.
