| Objective:To explore the application value of contrast-enhanced ultrasound(CEUS)in differential diagnosis between benign and malignant lumps classified BI-RADS 4.Materials and methods:A total of 40 lumps from 40 patients diagnosed as lumps classified BI-RADS 4upon baseline ultrasound examination in our Hospital Outpatient Department or Inpatient Department from Dec.2017 to Dec.2018 were examined by CEUS.The pathology results could be obtained through surgery or biopsy after CEUS.Retrospective analysis was made to observe the performance of CEUS from 40 lumps classified BI-RADS 4,conducted dynamic observation and analysis to investigate imaging characteristics after CEUS.With final pathological results as the gold standard, the application value of CEUS in differential diagnosis between benign and malignant of lumps classified BI-RADS 4 was estimated. Results:Of the 40 lumps classified BI-RADS 4,16 benign lumps and 24 malignant lumps.Enhancement level, alteration of enhanced region, distribution of the contrast medium, edge of enhancement and tumor vessels showed statistical difference between benign lumps and malignant lumps classified BI-RADS 4(P<0.05),perfusion modes showed no statistical difference between benign lumps and malignant lumps classified BI-RADS 4(P>0.05).Conclusion:CEUS is beneficial for discrimination of benign lumps and malignant lumps classified BI-RADS 4.CEUS can provide more abundant diagnostic information and provide new scientific methods and reference for clinical diagnosis and treatment. |
