Objective To explore features and relevant factors about the ecolo gical executive function in benign epilepsy children with centrotemporal spikes(BECT).Methods The behavior rating inventory of executive function(BRIEF)parental questionnaires were used to evaluate the executive function of 50 children with BECT(BECT group)and 50 normal children(control group)matched with BEC T group(sex, age, education years)respectively. The differences of ecological executive function between the two groups were compared.Results(1)The scores of BECT group in global executive composite(GEC),behavioral regulation index(BRI)and metacognition index(MI)of BRIEF(respectively,51.64±10.30,49.02±8.98,52.78±10.92)were significantly higher than those of the control group(respectively,45.70±6.55,44.96±5.35,46.72±6.96)(p<0.05).Inhibit,initiate,and working memory index scores of control group(respectively,49.90±10.62,51.76±11.90,55.58±10.95)are also higher than the control group(respectively,44.94±6.05,43.74±7.63,47.54±7.15).(2)Disease control had a negative predictive effect on GEC(β=-6.164,P=0.004),BRI(β=-5.422,P=0.025),MI(β=-4.962,P=0.034),inhibition(β=-8.926,P=0.002)and working memory(β=-4.980,P=0.008);attack times had a positive predictive effect on GEC(β=4.221,P<0.01),BRI(β=2.555,P=0.002),MI(β=4.726,P<0.01),task initiation(β=7.471,P<0.01)and working memory(β=5.384,P<0.01).Conclusion The ecological executive function of BECT patients faulty,Attack times, epilepsy control is the main factors of the ecological executive function in benign epilepsy children. |
