Objective To observe the clinical effect and adverse reaction of inter-tissue permanent implantation of I125 radioactive particles in combination with intravenous chemotherapy in the treatment of middle and advanced lung cancer. To provide the basis for the clinical application of inter-tissue permanent implantation of I125 radioactive particles in combination with intravenous chemotherapy in the treatment of middle and advanced lung cancer. Methods A retrospective analysis of 40 patients with advanced lung cancer from March 2016 to January 2018 was performed in the Department of Respiratory and critical Care(cadre’s Respiratory and critical care discipline,Xi-1andXi-2)in the first affiliated Hospital of Anhui Medical University. The study group established the seed implantation plan by the treatment plan system(TPS)before operation. The prescription dose(PD)was 90~110 Gy and the Matched Peripheral Dose(MPD)was 80~120 Gy.Platinum-containing drugs combined with intravenous chemotherapy were given for 6cycles one week after operation. The control group received only platinum-containing two drugs combined with intravenous chemotherapy for 6 cycles.Following up for 1month,3 months and 6 months after the first treatment, the antineoplastic efficacy and adverse reactions such as bone marrow suppression, gastrointestinal reaction, alopecia, pneumothorax and hemorrhage were evaluated. Results Follow-up examination after treatment was completed in both groups. There were 17 males and 3 females in the study group. The pathological types were squamous cell carcinoma(16 cases)and adenocarcinoma(4 cases)with an average age of 63.9±7.67 years. In the control group,16 cases were males and 4 cases were females,15 cases were squamous cell carcinoma and 5 cases were adenocarcinoma. The average age was 63.5 ±10.64 years old.The basic clinical factors of the two groups were comparable. In the study group, the effective rates of permanent inter-tissue implantation of I125 radioactive particles and intravenous chemotherapy for 1 month,3 months and 6months were 45.00 and 55.00,respectively.The effective rates of the control group were0.10.00 and 20.00 respectively at 1 month,3 months and 6 months after treatment. The effective rate in the study group was significantly higher than that in the control group(P < 0.05).There were 3 cases of pneumothorax,1 case of hemorrhage,3 cases of myelosuppression,7 cases of gastrointestinal reaction,1 case of alopecia,1 case of bone marrow suppression and gastrointestinal reaction,1 case of pneumothorax and 1 case of hemorrhage. The incidence of adverse reactions was 65%.In the control group, there were 4 cases of bone marrow suppression,8 cases of gastrointestinal tract reaction and 2cases of alopecia.Among them,1 case had bone marrow suppression and gastrointestinal tract reaction,1 case had bone marrow suppression and alopecia, the incidence rate was 60%.There was no significant difference in incidence between the two groups(P < 0.05).Conclusion The effective rate of permanent inter-tissue implantation of I125 radioactive particles in combination with intravenous chemotherapy in 1 month,3months and 6 months after intravenous chemotherapy is higher than that of intravenous chemotherapy alone, and the incidence of adverse reactions does not increase,so it is a more reliable method. The effective comprehensive treatment is beneficial to the diseasecontrol of patients with middle and advanced lung cancer and is worth popularizing in clinic.
