Background Oral health and general health.Pregnancy is not only a special stage in women’s life,but also an important period for maintaining oral health.Oral health during pregnancy has a special significance,that is,it is not only related to the health of pregnant women,but also related to the growth and development of the fetus.Therefore,as a special group,it is of great significance to prevent the occurrence of oral diseases in pregnant women.This article investigates the oral health status of pregnant women and the knowledge,attitudes and behaviors of oral health knowledge of pregnant women.Research Objectives To understand the oral health status and knowledge of pregnant women,and to analyze the relationship between sociodemographics and oral health status and oral health knowledge,so as to provide baseline information for the development of oral health measures for pregnant women.Method Refer to the national fourth oral health epidemiological survey method,combined with the purpose of this survey,self-made questionnaires and health qu estionnaires.According to the inclusion criteria,1073 pregnant women who came to the obstetrics department of our hospital for prenatal examination were select ed as subjects for oral health check,and a questionnaire survey was conducted o n the oral health knowledge.The database was established by excel software,an d the collected raw data was statistically processed using spss17.0 software to an alyze the oral health status of pregnant women,as well as the oral health knowl edge,attitude,behavioral status,and sociodemographic characteristics of pregnant women.The impact on oral health and knowledge.Result The detection rate of rickets in pregnant women,the detection rate of dental calculus,the detection rate of gingival bleeding and the resistance rate of wisdom teeth were 49.8%,63.6%,78.6% and 48.5%,respectively.The number of detection of tartar in pregnant women was related to the age and education of pregnant women.The difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).The higher the age of pregnant women and the lower the education,the more the number of calculus detected.The number of teeth detected by pregnant women with gingival bleeding was related to the age of pregnant women.The higher the age of pregnant women,the more the bleeding of the gums,the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).Whether the mouthwash,the frequency of toothpicks,the frequency of toothbrush replacement,and the use of fluoride toothpaste are related to the age of pregnant women,the difference is statistically significant(P<0.05);the frequency of brushing,the frequency of flossing,the frequency of toothbrush replacement,and the use of fluoride Toothpaste was related to maternal education,and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).Conclusion The oral health status of pregnant women needs to be improved,and the level of oral health awareness and behavior needs to be improved.Studies have shown that some oral health status and oral health knowledge lines are related to age and education,so different education methods should be adopted for pregnant women of different ages and education.
