The Comparison Of The Effect Of Open Abdominal Hernia Repair And Laparoscopic Hernia Repair In The Treatment Of Adult Inguinal Hernia

Objective:To discuss the effect of Open abdominal hernia repair and Laparoscopic hernia repair in the treatment of adult inguinal herniaCompration of open tension-free hernia repair and laparoscopic hernia repair in treatment of adult inguinal hernia Xia Chunfeng,Zhang Ping,Department of General Surgery Department of The first Hospital of Jilin University,changchun ChinaMethods:160 cases of adult inguinal hernia in First Hospital of Jilin Uniersity from October,2016 to April,2018 were enrolled in this study.The patients were divided into laparoscopic group and open group.The intraoperative blood loss,complications,postoperative hospital stay and hospitalization expenses were compared.Results There existed no significant difference in complications between the two groups on hernia recrudesce and complications(postoperative pain not included)(p>0.05).There existed significant difference in complications between the two groups on postoperative pain(p<0.05).Laparoscopic group showed better results than open group in terms of the bleeding amount and postoperative hospital stay and the differences were statistically significant(p<0.05).Open group showed better results than Laparoscopic group in terms of the hospitalization expenses and the differences were statistically significant(p<0.05).Conclusions Both two procedures are effective ways for the treatment of inguinal hernia,and each has its own advantages.Individualized treatment shoud be selected according to the specific situation of patients.
