| ObjectiveMeta-analysis system was used to analyze the association between heart failure and sarcopenia,we study the effect of heart failure on skeletal muscle mass in sarcopenia, and provide evidence for the prevention and treatment of sarcopenia.MethodsThe literature search was conducted on Pubmed,EMBASE,Clinial Trials registration website,Science Direct,Medline China Knowledge Network,Cochrane Library,Wanfang database,Ovid and other databases. Two researchers independently applied Google search engine, and the search time was up to The RCT study literature on heart failure with sarcopenia in January 2018 screened the retrieved literature according to established exclusion criteria. After finally combining the two selected researchers’ literatures,Metaman5.3 software was used for meta-analysis,and the appropriate literature model was found. After finding the appropriate model, the quality evaluation, the combined statistics, the forest map and the funnel plot were performed.Sensitivity analysis and published bias analysis.Results(1)Patients in the heart failure group had less skeletal muscle mass than those in the non-heart failure group, and there was a statistically significant difference in skeletal muscle mass between the two groups [SMD=0.61,95 %CI(0.23,1.00),p <0.1],suggesting that patients with heart failure are more likely to have myasthenia.(2)In patients with heart failure for more than five years, the skeletal muscle mass was significantly less than that in patients with a heart failure duration of less than five years. There was a statistically significant difference in skeletal muscle mass between the two groups [SMD=0.93,95 %CI(0.50,1.35),p < 0.1].(3)Subgroup analysis showed that compared with the non-heart failure group, the duration of heart failure was less than 5 years, and the skeletal muscle mass was similar to that of non-heart failure group. There was no statistically significant difference in skeletal muscle mass between the two groups.Meaning(p=0.85).The skeletal muscle mass of patients with heart failure greater than 5 years was lower than that of non-heart failure group, and the difference between the groups was statistically significant[SMD=0.98,95% CI(0.23,1.00),p<0.1].Sensitivity analysis was performed and the results showed that the results were relatively stable. After drawing the funnel plot of the data,it was found that the funnel plot was basically symmetrical, and the publication bias had less impact on the whole study.ConclusionThe progression of heart failure may cause damage to the skeletal muscle of patients. The skeletal muscle mass of patients with heart failure is lower than that of non-heart failure patients. The skeletal muscle mass of patients with long-term heart failure is lower than that of patients with short-term heart failure, with the degree of heart failure. The continuous increase in the duration of illness, the patient’s muscle mass and function gradually reduced, greatly increasing the risk of myasthenia.Heart failure promotes the development of sarcopenia, which can provide new ideas for the prevention and treatment of sarcopenia. However, this also requires data support and validation for many related studies. |
