| Objective: Comparisons were made to the therapeutic efficacy and safety between visualized ultra-microscopic percutaneous nephrolithotomy(UMP)and flexible ureteroscope lithotripsy(FURL)in the treatment of lower-pole calculi smaller than 2cm,then we sought to determine the clinical feasibility of visualized UMP in the treatment of lower-pole calculi smaller than 2cm.Methods: A total of 126 patients with lower-pole calculi smaller than 2cm admitted to our hospital from January 2016 to December 2018 were enrolled in the study, and the clinical data were analyzed retrospectively.126 patients were divided into visualized UMP group and FURL group according to the surgical method,60 cases in visualized UMP group and 66 cases in FURL group. The data such as operation time, postoperative stays, postoperative pain scores, the stone-free rates at 4 weeks postoperatively, the incidences of postoperative hyperpyrexia, the decrease in postoperative hemoglobin levels and postoperative leukocytosis levels were compared and analyzed between the two groups. Results: We found that there was no significant difference in postoperative stays, postoperative pain scores, the incidences of postoperative hyperpyrexia, the decrease in postoperative hemoglobin levels and postoperative leukocytosis levels between visualized UMP group and FURL group(P > 0.05).However,operation time of visualized UMP group(54.17±11.48 min)was significantly shorter than that of FURL group(77.83±16.79 min)(P<0.05),and the stone-free rates at 4 weeks postoperatively visualized UMP group(90.48%)was significantly higher than that of FURL group(74.55%)(P<0.05).Conclusion: As an optional treatment of lower-pole calculi smaller than 2cm,visualized UMP had shorter operation time and high the stone-free rates.Visualized UMP is a clinically worthwhile surgical approach. |
