Objective:The impairment of postpartum women's cognitive function has gradually attracted widespread attention from academia and society. Some scholars call it"baby Brain"[1].In fact, since the middle of last century, many scholars have done a lot of research on the changes of cognitive function of pregnant and Postpartum women. The research[2,3]points out that the general cognitive function, memory, information processing speed and executive function of pregnant and Postpartum women are are significantly worse than those of non-pregnant women, especially in the late pregnancy and early postpartum period, which is the peak of memory impairment, especially in primary parturients.Although many studies support the existence of memory impairment in pregnant and parturient women, the characteristics of memory impairment remain unclear. In this study,we intends to investigate the changes and characteristics of various memory components in postpartum women, explore the influence of pregnancy on memory function,so that women themselves and society could understand the characteristics of memory function during this period, and provide theoretical basis for paying attention to and helping postpartum women return to society smoothly. Methods:The 30 primary parturients who met the criteria of admission?Age 22-28years old, education level>9 years,right-handed,normal vision and hearing, simple mental state scale score>24 points,Hamilton anxiety scale and Hamilton Depression Scale score<7 points,no history of nervous system, mental and physical disorders, craniocerebral injury, mental disorders, etc.?within one week after natural delivery in the obstetric ward of Anqing Hospital Affiliated to Anhui Medical University from October 2017 to April 2018 were randomly selected as the experimental group.Thirty healthy infertile women who met the the criteria of admission were randomly selected as the control group. The classical neuropsychological test of prospective memory and related background tests were used to test the PM and RM of the two groups and to evaluate their overall cognitive ability. All data were analyzed by SPSS20.0 statistical software. Results:There were no significant differences in MMSE,HAMA,HAMD,VFT,DS,age and educational level between the two groups?P>0.05?.The results of memory test between the two groups were comparable.Compared with the control group, the scores of EBPM and TBPM in the maternal group were significantly different?6.00±0.83;5.33±0.76vs7.60±0.67;5.93±0.25,P<0.01?,that is,EBPM and TBPM in the maternal group were impaired compared with those in the control group. There is no significantly difference of RM score between two groups?5.80±1.63;5.53±0.57vs5.83±1.53;5.63±0.56,P>0.05?,that is,the RM of the maternal group was not significantly damaged compared with the control group. There was statistical significance in the damage index of EBPM and TBPM[0.00?-0.17,0.00?vs.-0.25?-0.38,-0.13?,P<0.05],That is to say,the damage degree of EBPM was more obvious than that of TBPM.Conclusion:The RM1 and RM2 scores in the maternal group were similar to those in the healthy control group. The scores of EBPM and TBPM in the parturient group were lower than those in healthy control group, and the absolute value of EBPM injury index was higher than that of TBPM.Therefore,Postpartum women suffer from impaired memory, particularly from prospective memory, and more obvious damage is found in EBPM.
