Objective To probe the correlation between nutritional related blood biochemical index, anthropometric indexes and Nutritional Risk Screening2002(NRS 2002),patient-generated subjective global assessment(PG-SGA)in the nutritional screening and evaluation with gastric cancer patients. Methods 187 patients with gastric cancer underwent surgical treatment in our hospital from April 2017 to January 2019 were consecutively enrolled in this study. The patients were screened and evaluated by NRS2002 and PG-SGA within 24 hours after admission, and measured The the level of hemoglobin(HGB),albumin(Alb),prealbumin(PA),handgrip strength, arm medium circumference(MAC),tricepsskim fold(TSF),and mid-arm muscle circumference(MAMC).Results The levels of HGB,Alb,PA,handgrip strength,MAC,TSF and MAMC in the group with nutritional risk(NRS2002 ≥ 3)and malnutrition(PG-SGA ≥ 4)were lower than those in the non-nutritional risk group(NRS2002 < 3)and the non-malnutrition group(PG-SGA < 4).There was a negative correlation between The HGB,Alb,PA,handgrip strength,MAC,TSF,MAMC and NRS2002,PG-SGA in preoperative patients(P < 0.05).The consistency test of both NRS2002 and PG-SGA scores showed that they were generally consistent(Kappa=0.421,P <0.001).There was apositive correlation between NRS2002 and PG-SGA score(r=0.626,P< 0.01).Conclusion The levels of HGB,Alb,PA,handgrip strength,MAC,TSF,and MAMC in patients with nutritional risk and malnutrition are obviously decreased, and these indexes were negatively correlated with NRS2002 andPG-SGA scores.NRS2002 and PG-SGA scores are positively correlated, but its consistency generally. The combination of nutritional related Blood biochemical Indexes, anthropometric measurements,NRS2002 and PG-SGA could be more favorable for nutritional screening and evaluation with gastric cancer patients.
