ObjectiveTo investigate the effect of "Benefiting Vital Energy and Eliminating Phlegm" on the blood test indicators caused by DP chemotherapy in non-small cell lung cancer(NSCLC),and the impact on patients' quality of life.MethodsA total of 65 patients with non-small cell lung cancer who were admitted to the oncology department of Guangzhou Hospital of Traditional Chinese Medicine from January 2016 to April 2017 were enrolled.Of these,30 patients on chemotherapy combined with"Benefiting Vital Energy and Eliminating Phlegm" except the phlegm treatment.Comparison of the incidence of myelosuppression between the two groups before chemotherapy, during the first and the second course of treatment.Comparison of changes in blood coagulation parameters, symptom scores, adverse symptom scores,KPS scores, and body weight changes before and after chemotherapy.ResultsIn terms of white blood cell count, there was no significant difference in the incidence of myelosuppression higher between the TCM combines Western medicine group(group B)and the Western medicine group(group A)during the first course of chemotherapy(P>0.05).The myelosuppression in the group B during the second course of treatment was significantly lower than that of the group A,and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).In terms of coagulation test, fibrinogen(FBG)concentration:after two courses of treatment, the FBG concentration decreased in both groups. The serum FBG concentration in the group B was significantly lower than that in the group A,the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).D—dimer levels:D-dimer levels were decreased in both groups after two courses of treatment. The D-dimer concentration of the group B decline was not much different from that of the group A,and the difference was not statistically significant(P>0.05)..In terms of symptom scores, the total effective rate of the group A was 77.1Y;and the total effective rate of group B was 93.3%.There was significant difference in the total effective rate between the group B and the group A(P<0.05).After two courses of chemotherapy, the scores of other symptoms were lower than those before treatment in the group A.The scores of cough, sputum, shortness of breath, chest pain and fatigue were lower than those before treatment in the group B.The scores of sputum and fatigue symptoms in the group B were significantly higher than those in the group A(P<0.05).After the first course of chemotherapy, the KPS scores of the two groups were mainly concentrated in 80;after the second course of treatment, the KPS scores of the two groups were significantly different. After the second course of treatment, the KPS improvement rate of the group A was 62.9%,and the KPS improvement rate of the group B was 86.79%,which was statistically significant(P<0.05).After the two courses of treatment,The degree of weight loss was not much different from that of group A,and the difference was not statistically significant(P>0.05).There was significant difference in weight improvement rate between the two groups after the second course of chemotherapy(P<0.05).ConclusionAfter analyzing the white blood cell counts of the two groups of patients during chemotherapy,"Benefiting Vital Energy and Eliminating Phlegm" can alleviate leukocyte inhibition caused by DP chemotherapy in non-small cell lung cancer, and has a certain protective effect on myelosuppression;tBenefiting Vital Energy and Eliminating Phlegm" combined with Western medicine chemotherapy can Improving the patient' s blood coagulation has a greater effect on improving the quality of life of lung cancer patients, effectively reducing the respiratory symptoms of patients, and making patients more susceptible to the toxic side effects of DP chemotherapy.Traditional Chinese medicine is more economical than western medicine, and has no side effects. It is worthy of clinical application. |
