Objective: The authenticity of seeds determines the authenticity of medicinal materials.To get a preliminary understanding of the authenticity and quality of parsnip seeds sold on the market.Methods: This paper collected 29 parsnip seeds in anguo and bozhou markets,Paraffin section method,trait description method and ITS2 sequence comparison method were used to identify the true and false seeds;To detect the purity,germination rate,viability and moisture content of seeds to understand the quality of seeds;SDS-PAGE method was used to separate the total protein of saposhnikovia parsnip seeds.The protein bands of each sample were observed.Results:Paraffin section method,character description method and ITS2 sequence comparison method can be used to identify the true and false of saposhnilova seeds;The seeds of saposhnikoviana are all unqualified with low purity.The maximum 1000-seed weight is 5.85 g and the minimum is 3.41 g.The maximum seed viability was 98%.The minimum value is 0%;The germination rate of seeds was the highest 59% and the lowest0%.The lowest and highest water content of seeds was 14.85% and5.99%,respectively;Sds-page electrophoresis analysis of total protein of saposhnikovia parsnips showed that up to 16 bands could be isolated,and there was no significant difference in protein bands of saposhnikovia parsnips from different regionsConclusion: None of the parsnip seeds on the market have reached the quality standards issued and implemented by hebei province in 2010;The protein bands of parsnip seeds could not identify the seeds from different places;DNA fragment ITS2 extracted from parsnip seeds can be used to identify the authenticity of parsnip seeds.
