Effect Of Calculus Bovis Gel On Children With Exogenous Fever (Wind Heat Syndrome) Clinical Study

Objective: Calculus bovis gel is used to assist children with exogenous fever(wind heat syndrome),and to determine its clinical efficacy,so as to provide a new idea and method for treating children’s exogenous fever.Methods: 100 children were selected and numbered according to the order of admission to the hospital.They were divided into treatment group and control group according to random number table method.Each group had 50 cases.The treatment group was treated with Calculus bovis gel on children’s large vertebra,Qu Chi,Hegu and Yongquan points.The control group was treated with physical cooling(Cool down).Both groups were observed for 3 days.Results: After 0.5 hours of treatment,21 cases were markedly effective,22 cases were effective and 7 cases were ineffective in the treatment group,and 8 cases were markedly effective,23 cases were effective and 19 cases were ineffective in the control group.24 hours after treatment,the number of fever was 16 cases in the treatment group,18 cases in the second fever,11 cases in the third fever and 5 cases in the fourth fever;9 cases in the control group,15 cases in the second fever,17 cases in the third fever and 9 cases in the fourth fever.The number of antipyretics taken after 24 hours of treatment: 18 in the treatment group and 29 in the control group.72 hours after treatment,the number of cases of complete fever abatement was 39 in the treatment group and 29 in the control group.The total effective rate of the two groups after treatment: the total effective rate of the treatment group was 82.00%,the total effective rate of the control group was 76.00%,P<0.05,the difference was statistically significant,the treatment group was better than the control group.Conclusion: Calculus bovis gel has a definite clinical effect in adjuvant treatment of children with exogenous fever(syndrome of wind heat syndrome).Compared with physical cooling(Cool down),it has a faster rate of antipyretic effect,and can reduce the heat potential of children,reduce the use of antipyretic drugs,relieve clinical symptoms,and is simple,safe and reliable.
