| ObjectiveThe correlation between sleep disorders and vitamin D(Vitamin D)levels was studied by using evidence-based medical system assessment and meta-analysis.To explore the role of vitamin D as a steroid hormone in regulating light and sleep, and the relationship among light, vitamin D and sleep.MethodsThe retrieval literature database through computer search literature databases: CBM,CNKI,Wanfang database,VIP,Pub Med,Embase,Web database,Medline of Science,NCBI and Cochrane Library, the retrieval time for published before February 2018,inquiring about sleep disorders associated with vitamin D,analysis was conducted using Meta Revman5.3 software.ResultsFifteen articles of high quality literatures were included in the survey. The total quality of the sample was 17,515,with 4,051 males and 5,555 females, with an average age of 43.56 years.Meta-analysis showed that the relationship between sleep disorders and vitamin D [RR = 1.28;95% CI(1.04-1.58);P = 0.02] was statistically significant. The subgroup analysis showed that the correlations of the blacks [RR = 0.81;95% CI(0.69 ~ 0.95);P = 0.01] and the Asian region correlation [RR = 1.37;95% CI(0.99 ~ 1.89);P = 0.04] with statistical significance.Using the polysomnography(PSG)measurement was higher than the Pittsburgh Sleep Quality Index scale. The results obtained from the subgroup of women measured separately [RR = 1.09;95% CI(0.74-1.62);P = 0.66] were no statistically significant.Among the types of sleep disorders, obstructive sleep apnea-hypopnea syndrome(OSAHS)had the highest correlation with decreased vitamin D levels, with immunoassay measurements superior to chromatographic assays.Sample size and sampling methods have some impact on the results, but no regularity.ConclusionThere is a correlation between sleep disorders and the changes of vitamin D levels in the body, and there are differences in racial, geographical and other aspects. As the inclusion of literature by the adjustment factors, some of the literature is not high quality, still need larg e-scale prospective studies to further verify. |
