Objective: To analyze the social inclusion and identify its influencing factors in patients with schizophrenia and provide scientific basis for their promotion of social inclusion.Methods: A quantitative and qualitative survey were conducted among patients with remission from schizophrenia,family caregivers,community residents and mental health workers to analyze the social inclusion and identify its influencing factors in patients with schizophrenia.Social Inclusion Self-Assessment Scale,Discrimination against Psychiatric patients Assessment scale,Link Social Distance Scale,Social support Scale,Social Disability Screening Schedule(SDSS),Family APGAR,Self-designed semi-structured Expert interview Scale were used to in this study.Result: The social inclusion total score,social acceptance score,social exclusion score of schizophrenic were 49.31±7.48,34.76±5.08,14.55±4.22 respectively.The family caregivers’ discrimination total score,ability dimension score,isolation dimension score,risk dimension score and social total distance score were 2.47±0.43,3.03 ± 0.63,2.42 ± 0.43,2.40 ± 0.68,19.84 ± 5.46 respectively.The community residents’ discrimination total score,ability dimension score,isolation dimension score,risk dimension score and social distance total score were 2.30±0.60,2.31±0.84,2.17± 0.63,2.53 ± 0.71,21.03 ± 4.36 respectively.The mental health workers’ discrimination total score,ability dimension score,isolation dimension score,risk dimension score and social distance total score were 1.84±0.61,1.68±0.78,1.82±0.65,1.97 ± 0.75,18.73 ± 3.95 respectively.There were statistical significant differences(P<0.05)in discrimination score,social distance score among family caregivers,community residents,and mental health workers.The total score of social support,subjective support,objective support,support utilization and family function were 32.88±6.30,17.87±3.60,7.95±2.06,7.06±2.71,7.31±3.17 respectively.The proportion of patients with social functional defects was 56.28%.Logistic regression analysis showed that the influencing factors of social inclusion scores of the schizophrenic were social functional defects(OR=0.358),gender(OR=0.360),age(OR=0.944),total social support score(OR=1.086),and total family function score(OR=1.943).The results of semi-structured interviews showed that the factors of social inclusion disorder in patients with schizophrenia included physiological factors,psychological factors,imperfect medical system and social environment intolerance.Conclusion: The patients with schizophrenia are facing serious social discrimination and exclusion.The influencing factors of their social inclusion include individual factors and social factors.Such as gender,age,social function,disease symptoms,social support,social discrimination,medical service system and etc.
