Professor Yanhui Wang’s Clinical Experience In The Treatment Of Advanced Lung Cancer

Purposes:The clinical treatment exper:iences of TCM is the treasure of Chinese medicine.Rich TCM experience in diagnosis and treatment in the long-term practice has been accumulated.It will contribute to the development of TCM by developing TCM academic thought and experiences inheritance,improving TCM academic level and further improving TCM theoretical system.Professor Yanhui Wang has been engaged in clinical work for more than 30 years,and he is good at applying the theoretical basis,TCM diagnosis and treatment,and syndrome differentiation and diagnosis and treatment system of signs and symptoms.After long-term clinical practice,he has accumulated rich experiences in the prevention and treatment of middle and advanced lung cancer,which is worth summarizing and analyzing to provide scientific basis for inheriting the TCM experience in the clinical diagnosis and treatment of middle and advanced lung cancer.Methods:In this study,retrospective investigation were used to collect the medical records of patients with advanced lung cancer in the professor Yanhui Wang,s outpatient department from May 2001 to December 2018.The clinical diagnosis and treatment information database of Prof.Yanhui Wang was established by Numbers.Through analyzing the frequency of pulse,tongue image,syndrome type and frequency of Chinese medicines,we summarized the clinical experiences,medication rules and academic thoughts of Prof.Yanhui Wang in the treatment of advanced lung cancer.Results:(1)A total of 84 cases eligible for inclusion were collected.(2)It was found that the most frequency of pulse manifestations in the right hand was stringy pulse,followed by the feeble pulse and then the thready pulse,and the most frequency of pulse manifestations in the left hand was stringy pulse,followed by the thready pulse and then the feeble pulse.Pale purple tongue was mostly showed,and tongue coating was usually white and greasy.(3)This showed that the patients with advanced lung cancer in this study were basically liver constraint,phlegm-damp and spleen deficiency,which belonged to deficiency-excess complex.(4)Among these 84 patients with advanced lung cancer,high-frequency herb statistics(application times>50 times)analysis showed that:rendering of the frequency order from high to low was:honey-fried licorice root(83 times),ginger processed pinellia(80 times),poria cocos(80 times),dried tangerine or orange peel(74 times),loquat leaf(69 times),fructus aurantii(69 times),radix paeoniae alba(67 times),large-headed atractylodes(64 times),oysters(60 times),codonopsis(59 times),asters(58 times),radix cyathulae(58 times),rhizoma zedoariae(54 times),keel(54 times),rhizoma sparganic(53 times),and magnolia officinalis(50 times).Conclusion:The etiology and pathogenesis of advanced lung cancer may be mainly liver constraint and spleen deficiency,and deficiency-excess mixing.phlegmatic hygrosis may be not only the main cause,but also the main pathological product.The chief Chinese medical formula may be the addition or subtraction of Six Gentlemen Decoction with Chenpi and Banxia:In the treatment procedure of Prof.Yanhui Wang,"Xiang" thinking is the basis for the herb selection and dosage,and he has formed the idea of state differentiation and treatment with the coupling chain of"principles,methods,formulas,and medicinals",always carried out the thought of"Calm Yin and sound Yang",paid attention to the timely relief of patients’ most painful symptoms,and penetrated into the details of patients’lifestyle.This study has summarized the treatment ideas of Prof.Yanhui Wang in the treatment of advanced lung cancer,which has important reference significance for future generations to continue to study the treatment of advanced lung cancer.
