| Objectives:To compare the diagnostic efficacy of intraoperative rapid tissue imprint cytology and frozen section examination. To explore whether rapid tissue imprint cytology can be applied to the rapid diagnosis of benign and malignant thyroid tissue during operation or as a supplement to rapid frozen section examination, and to evaluate its clinical value. Methods:A total of 85 thyroid nodules were collected from 53 patients with thyroid nodules who underwent thyroidectomy in general surgery department of The First Hospital Of Handan from 2017-11 to 2018-11.All thyroid nodules resected surgically were examined by tissue imprint cytology, frozen section and paraffin section. With the results of paraffin pathology as the gold standard, the differences of fast tissue imprint cytology, frozen section and paraffin pathology were compared.Compare the time difference between the two methods. In addition, the efficiency analysis of the two inspection methods and their combination diagnosis was calculated.P < 0.05,the difference was statistically significant.Results:Eighty-five thyroid nodules were resected surgically, and the final diagnosis by paraffin section showed malignancy.52 nodules and 33 benign nodules.Among them,48 malignant nodules and 37 benign nodules were detected by rapid tissue imprint cytology.Forty-nine malignant nodules and 36 benign nodules were detected by rapid frozen section.A total of 50 malignant nodules and 35 benign nodules were detected by the combination of the two methods.Final results showed that there was no significant difference between the two methods and the final paraffin examination and the differential diagnosis between benign and malignant thyroid nodules(P > 0.05).There was significant difference in the time spent by the two intraoperative rapid diagnostic methods(P < 0.05).The accuracy of tissue imprint cytology, frozen section cytology, tissue imprint cytology combined with frozen section in the diagnosis of benign and malignant thyroid nodules were 90.6%,94.1%and 95.3%,the sensitivity was 88.5%,92.3%,94.2%,the specificity was 93.9%,97.0%,97.0%,the positive predictive values were 95.8%,98.0%,98.0%,and the negative predictive values were 83.8%,88.9%,respectively.91.4%.Conclusions:Rapid tissue imprint examination is a fast, accurate and reliablemethod for intraoperative diagnosis, which has high application value.Rapid tissue imprint cytology can be used for rapid diagnosis, especially in primary level hospitals in the frozen section examination due to limited conditions to carry out the.The combination of rapid tissue printing and frozen section examination can greatly improve the accuracy of intraoperative diagnosis. |
