| Objective: To evaluate the method of preventing parathyroid injury during total thyroidectomy. Methods: A retrospective analysis of 180 cases of thyroid cancer patients undergoing thyroidectomy under the Department of External Medicine,Affiliated Hospital of Traditional Chinese Medicine,Xinjiang Medical University, from January2017 to December 2018,according to the application of nanocarbon in the operation. There were 137 cases of nano-carbon method group and 43 cases of traditional method group. The blood calcium,PTH level, parathyroid mis-surgery and postoperative autonomic symptoms(Lip and face numbness, limb twitching, abnormal ECG)were observed before and after operation. Results: 1.There was no significant difference in the general situation(including gender, age, preoperative blood calcium and blood PTH index)between the nanocarbon method group and the traditional method group(P>0.05).2.In the nanocarbon method group,24 cases of parathyroid missection occurred in the operation(missing rate of17.50%);compared with 15 cases of miscut in the traditional method group(missing rate34.90%),nanocarbon method The mis-cut rate of the patients was significantly lower than that of the traditional method group(P<0.05).3.The nano-carbon method group was significantly lower than the traditional method group in terms of postoperative low calcium and low PTH.The difference was statistically significant.(P<0.05).4.The incidence of facial numbness of the lips in the nanocarbon method group was significantly lower than that of the traditional method group, the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).Conclusion: Compared with the traditional method, the nano-carbon method is beneficial to the recognition of parathyroid gland in total thyroidectomy plus VI lymphnode dissection, which can significantly reduce the rate of parathyroid missection and the incidence of postoperative hypocalcemia. |
