| Objective: To evaluate objectively the value of traditional Chinese medicine(TCM)in the treatment of advanced non-small cell lung cancer(NSCLC)by observing the effect of Chinese medicine maintenance therapy on the quality of life of patients with advanced non-small cell lung cancer(NSCLC).Methods: from January 1,2018 to December 31,2018,40 patients with advanced non-small cell lung cancer(SD)and above were evaluated by first-line chemotherapy in the oncology department and out-patient department of Yunnan traditional Chinese Medicine Hospital.Methods: 21 cases of maintenance therapy group(test group)and 19 cases of maintenance chemotherapy group(control group)were divided into two groups.Chinese medicine maintenance treatment group were treated by Professor Li Sven syndrome differentiation,and fixed investigators collected cases.The patients in the maintenance chemotherapy group were treated with the original chemotherapeutic drugs in principle.The patients in both groups were treated with 21 days as a course of treatment until the disease progressed or appeared intolerable.good reaction.The quality of life(QOL)and physical status of patients with EORTC QLQ-LC43 lung cancer were measured by TCM symptom score,KPS score,disease-free survival time,safety and so on.Results:(1)quality of life analysis: the role function of TCM maintenance treatment group was significantly improved(P<0.05),and there was no significant difference between the two groups(P<0.05).The 5 symptoms of loss of appetite,nausea and vomiting,tiredness,alopecia and diarrhea in the maintenance treatment group were better than those in the maintenance chemotherapy group(P<0.05).In terms of economic status and general health status,Chinese medicine maintenance treatment group was significantly better than maintenance chemotherapy group(P<0.05).Comparison of KPS scores between the two groups: the improvement of the trial was better than that of the maintenance chemotherapy group(P<0.05).(2)The symptom score of lung cancer in TCM: the improvement of dyspepsia and shortness of breath in the maintenance treatment group was better than that in the maintenance chemotherapy group(P<0.05).The improvement of overall symptom score in the maintenance therapy group was better than that in the maintenance chemotherapy group(P<0.05).The overall remission rate of symptoms in the maintenance group was significantly higher than that in the maintenance hemotherapy group(P<0.05).(3)There was no significant difference in the(PFS)between the two groups(P<0.05).The mean PFS in the maintenance chemotherapy group was 6.82 ±1.67 months and that in the Chinese medicine maintenance group was 7.16 ±2.34 months(P<0.05).(4)Safety observation: there was no obvious blood toxicity and damage of liver and kidney function in Chinese medicine maintenance treatment group.Conclusion: Chinese medicine maintenance treatment can improve the quality of life of patients with advanced non-small cell lung cancer,and can achieve the same as western medicine chemotherapy without disease progression survival time,safe use of drugs,no obvious adverse reactions. |
