Objective Using the CEO database to search for mRNA expression profiling related to oral squamous cell carcinoma.The series matrix file of mRNA expression profiles was downloaded directly and the differential expression genes between oral squamous cell carcinoma(OSCC)and normal oral tissues were screened based on the R language.This study is aimed at identifying OSCC associated genes.Methods GSE31056 was downloaded from Gene Expression Omnibus(GEO)which is the mRNA expression profiles dataset.The 23 adjacent normal tissue samples and 23 OSCC samples were chosen from the total of 96 tissue samples.The differentially expressed genes(DEGs)were screened by impute package and limma package in RStudio,and the GO and KEGG enrichment analysis were predicted by clusterProfiler.Then,the proteinprotein interaction(PPI)network was constructed using STRING online tool and Cytoscape.Results It is showed that a total of 715 DEGs were identified,including 258 up-regulated genes and 457 down-regulated genes.In the PPI network,SPP1、MMP1、MMP7、MMP9 had higher degrees。Conclusions This study has detected differentially expressed genes(DEGs)of oral squamous cell carcinoma based on the R language.Results displayed that there were significant differentially expressed genes(DEGs)between oral squamous cell carcinoma and adjacent normal tissue.These key genes might play an important role in pathogenesis of OSCC. |
