Colon cancer is the third most common malignancy in the world and one of several malignant diseases that harm human health,according to new research.With the continuous study of colon cancer,including genetics,molecular biology,and tumor immunology,left and right colon cancer should be consider as two different diseases,more and more scholars hold this view.The review describes the biological characteristics of the normal colonic tissue,the histological origin of the two sides of the colon,the differences in both sides of the colon and the different characteristics of the two sides of colon cancer to explain the difference between the performance and prognosis of the left and right colon cancer and provide the basis for the formulation of the treatment.
