Objective:The purpose of this study was to investigate the awareness of XingnaoGuanchang Decoction in the improvement of consciousness in coma patients after the cerebral hemorrhage surgery(Phlegm-heat and FU-Organ excess),and to evaluate its therapeutic effect and safety, and to provide a practical basis for promoting awakening. Methods:Sixty patients who met the inclusion criteria were randomly divided into a treatment group and a control group. The control group was treated with postoperative western medicine, and the treatment group was based on the control group and added the Xingnao Guanchang Decoction. Then observed the scales of the two groups of patients before and after treatment, such as the Integral of TCM Syndrome Scores,Glasgow Coma Scale(GCS),Full Outline of Unresponsiveness(FOUR),Awakening rate,Wake-up time. Then statistics and analysis of data changes in various observational indicators to evaluate the clinical efficacy of the two grou ps of patients. In addition, the results of laboratory such as the routine of blood, urine, stool, liver and renal function, electrolytes, and coagulation were observed in two groups to compare the safety.Results:1)There were significant differences between the integral of TCM syndrome scores of both groups after the treatment by independent sample T test(P<0.05).After treatment, treatment group had better symptoms than control group. The total effective rate of the treatment group and the control group were 92.11%and81.08%,There was a significant difference after the Zhihe test(P<0.05).The total effect of treatment group was significantly better than that of the control group.2)GCS scores and FOUR scores after treatment were significantly different from those before treatment(P<0.05).The improvement of coma in the treatment group after treatment was significantly better than that in the control group(P<0.05).The awakening rate of the treatment group and the control group were 81.58%and72.97%.And the awakening rate of treatment group was higher than that of control group.3)The wake-up time of the treatment group and the control group after treatment were(8.48±2.35)h and(12.81±2.38)h,and there was a significantly different by independent sample T test(P<0.05).The wake-up time of the treatment group was shorter than that of the control group.4)Safety indicators and adverse event s results after treatment in both groups showed that:The incidence of adverse events in the treatment group and the control group were 7.89%and 8.11%.There was no significant difference in the incidence of adverse events between the two groups after theχ~2 test(P<0.05).The incidence of adverse events in the treatment group was lower than that in the control group.Conclusion:1)The Xingnao Guanchang Decoction has a better consciousness-improving effect on coma patients after the cerebral hemorrhage surger y,and can significantly shorten the coma time, increase the awaking rate, and significantly improve the integral of TCM syndrome scores.2)The treatment group is superior to the control group in safety, and can reduce the incidence of adverse events, and is more conducive to the condition of the illness.
