The Clinical Study On Wen Qing Chu Bi Tang For Treating Rheumatoid Arthritis

Objective: The purpose of this study is observing the clinical efficacy and safety of Wen Qing Chu Bi Tang in treating rheumatoid arthritis.In addition,we explore the possible mechanisms of anti-inflammatory,relieve pain,and microcirculation improvement and immunosuppressive in the treatment of rheumatoid arthritis.Methods:This study was a randomized controlled test.We selected 60 patients with rheumatoid arthritis that met the standard.Each group was immediately divided into 30 patients.Patients in the treatment group took prednisone 20 mg once a day and gradually reduced in 40 days.Methotrexate 10 mg once a week.Wen Qing Chu Bi Tang was used at the same time.Patients in the control group took prednisone 20 mg once a day and gradually reduced in 40 days.Methotrexate 10 mg once a week.3 months after we observed the 2 groups of indicators include tender joint count,swollen joint count,patient global health,erythrocyte sedimentation rate(ESR),C reactive protein(CRP).We observed vital sign parameters of patients besides routine blood test,urine routine,faecal routine,liver function,renal function,blood lipids,blood sugar,blood potassium as well as bone mineral density examination as safety indicators.Finally,we used the DAS28 score and Traditional Chinese Medicine Score to evaluate the efficacy.Results: By comparison DAS28 score,we found that in the treatment group 93.33% of the patients are effective.In the control group 86.67% patients are effective.There were no obvious distinction in two groups(Ρ>0.05).By comparison traditional Chinese medical score,we found that 86.67% of the patients are effective,in the control group 63.33% of the patients are effective.There were significant differences in two groups(Ρ<0.05).We found all the indexes of active rheumatoid arthritis were improved(Ρ<0.05).In addition,there is a statistical significance in the treatment of patient global health after treatment(Ρ<0.05).By comparison recurrence rate,The rate of relapse in the treatment group was 6.67 %.The rate of relapse in the control group was 13.33 % There were significant differences in two groups(Ρ<0.05).We found that two groups had the same incidence of adverse reactions,all 6.67%.There were no obvious distinction in two groups(Ρ>0.05).Conclusion:Wen Qing Chu Bi Tang compare with methotrexate and prednisone can significantly improve the curative effect.Wen Qing Chu Bi Tang can reduce the relapse of patients with RA.Wen Qing Chu Bi Tang has no obvious adverse reactions and side effects.
