| Background:Ovarian cancer is one of the common types of female reproductive system cancer, and cervical cancer, endometrial cancer three female common malignant tumors of the reproductive system. With the development of gene chip technology, more and more gene expression studies have been linked to the pathogenesis of ovarian cancer. However, these studies lack of effective statistical results due to the large amount of data, and lack of identification of the differentially expressed genes and the discovery of enrichment pathways. Objective:In order to integrate the existing research on the pathogenesis of ovarian cancer, display the results of enrichment of genes in a certain range(selected documents),and the potential differentially expressed genes which related to ovarian cancer.Method:Our study systematically searches the open source Gene Expression Ominbus(GEO)database and integrates the results of the search, including meta-analysis and pathway analysis(GSEA).In this study,we integrated seven gene expression datasets, including 450 human ovarian cancer samples(396 cases and 54 controls).Seven selected genes were selected for differential gene expression by R program, and were enrichment pathway analyzed via GSEA.In addition, based on the significant enrichment pathways,we performed a meta-analysis of individual genes in the pathway.Result:In this study, two ovarian cancer gene enrichment pathways were obtained, namely the cell cycle pathway and the systemic lupus erythematosus pathway.Furthermore,GSK3β which from the cell cycle and HIST1H3 H which from the systemic lupus erythematosus pathway were highly expressed in the ovarian tissue of ovarian cancer patients, and compare with the patients with low expression, the patients who with high expression of the two kinds of gene have low survival rate, the results were statistically significant(P<0.05).Conclusion:Genes expressed in the ovarian tissue of ovarian cancer patients are enriched in the cell cycle pathway and the systemic lupus erythematosus pathway.GSK3β in the cell cycle and HIST1H3H in the systemic lupus erythematosus pathway are highly expressed in the ovarian tissues of ovarian cancer patients, and patients with high expression levels both of them had lower survival rates than lower levels of expression. The results were statistically significant. |
