| In recent years,with the medical diagnosis and treatment technology,molecular biology,imaging,serological technology development,and the use of antimicrobials,people gradually found that the fungus has connected with the onset of many diseases.In the case of otolaryngology related diseases,the most vulnerable to the fungus is the first contact with the outside of the nasal cavity,the sinuses.Fungal rhinosinusitis(FRS)is the inflammatory disease of the nasal cavity and(or)sinuses caused by fungal infection [1].Fungal sinusitis is divided into invasiveness and non-invasiveness.Noninvasive sinusitis were divided into allergic FRS(AFRS)and fungus ball(fungal ball,FB),invasive fungal sinusitis were divided into acute explosive FRS(acute invasive fungal rhino sinusitis,AIFRS)chronic invasive fungal rhinosinusitis(chronic invasive fungal rhino sinusitis,CIFRS),and CIFRS according to the characteristics of divided into sinuses lesion granuloma with and without granuloma.It is generally believed that fungal sinusitis occurs in people with immune deficiency [2,3].However,in recent years,it has been found that there are a large number of patients with fungal sinusitis in the normal population.Northern Sudan,India and the United States reported more cases in [4],the domestic about noninvasive cases more,especially fungus ball [5-6].Acute invasive fungal sinusitis serious deterioration in particular,the mortality rate of 50% ~ 80%.More worrying is the diagnosis of fungal sinusitis,which is often overlooked when dealing with chronic sinusitis.It is often diagnosed by computed tomography(ct)scanning or biopsy of fungal secretions in the sinus cavity.The clinical symptoms of fungal rhinosinusitis are often mild or easily concealed by other diseases.Nitric oxide(NO)is an inflammatory factor that has attracted research in various fields in recent years.It closely participates in the mechanism of inflammation.This experiment intended to fungal sinusitis and chronic bacterial sinusitis patients as the research object,by measuring the NO content in nasal mucosa and cell i NOS(Inducible Nitric oxide synthase,i NOS)positive rate,analysis of NO relevance to the pathogenesis,to investigate the relationship between the availability of Nitric oxide(NO),with the onset of fungal sinusitis.Methods: general information was collected from the department of otolaryngology of the second hospital affiliated to dalian medical university from 2015 to 2017,and treated patients with fresh maxillary sinus nasal mucosa.Among them,19 cases of chronic sinusitis were randomly selected,ranging from 15 to 60 years old,with an average age of 35 years,10 males and 9 females.A total of 19 patients with fungal sinusitis were randomly selected,ranging from 30 to 65 years old,with an average age of 40 years,7 males and 12 females.In the control group,19 patients with maxillary sinus cyst were randomly selected,aged from 25 to 55,with an average age of 32 years,8 males and 11 females.The patients with maxillary sinus cyst were excluded from the history of allergic rhinitis as a normal control group.All cases had no history of respiratory allergic disease.(1)the Griess Reagent method was adopted to detect the nitric oxide content in the experimental group and the control group,and the experimental results were analyzed by graph software.P < 0.05 was considered to be meaningful.(2)observed the lesion of mucosal tissue by HE staining,and immunohistochemical staining analyzed the number of positive cells between the three groups.Results: 1.NO in fungal sinusitis and chronic bacterial sinusitis group were higher than in normal nasal mucosa,express the highest in the fungal sinusitis group,and with chronic bacterial sinusitis group and normal nasal mucosa measured content are different,and it has statistical significance(P < 0.05).Moreover,the group of chronic bacterial sinusitis was higher than the normal nasal mucosa group and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).2.By HE staining and immunohistochemical staining,and statistical analysis of immunohistochemical staining line,fungal sinusitis and chronic sinusitis group positive cells were significantly higher than that of normal control group(P < 0.05).Moreover,there was significant difference in the expression of chronic sinusitis group and normal nasal mucosa group(P<0.05)in the group of fungal sinusitis.Conclusion: the increase of local NO is correlated with the incidence of fungal sinusitis. |
