| Objective: To investigate the relationship between high-density lipoprotein cholesterol(HDL-C)levels and inflammatory marker levels in patients with acute coronary syndrome(ACS).Methods: We studied 291 ACS patients from July 2016 to January 2018 in the First Affiliated Hospital of Soochow University. All selected patients underwent coronary angiography during hospitalization.Venous blood was obtained from all the patients within 24 hours of hospitalization, white blood count(WBC),neutrophil count, lymphocyte count, and calculation of neutrophil-to-lymphocyte ratio(NLR),High sensitivity C-reactive protein(Hs-CRP)and HDL-C.According to the levels of HDL-C,patients were divided to two different groups,as Low-Level HDL-C Group(<40mg/dl)and Normal--Level HDL-C Group(≥40mg/dl).The first group included 111 patients and second group included 180 patients.Comparing Respectively the relationship between HDL-C levels and inflammatory markers in ACS、ST-segment elevation myocardial infarction(STEMI)and non-ST-segment elevation acute coronary syndrome(NSTE-ACS)with single factor analysis and Spearman correlation analysis. Results: 1.In ACS patients,The difference of WBC(t=-3.216,P=0.002),NLR(t=-4.105,P<0.001)and Hs-CRP(t=-4.806,P < 0.001)between the two groups was statistically significant.Spearman correlation analysis showed significant negative correlation between HDL-C and WBC(r =-0.196,P = 0.008),NLR(r=-0.193,P=0.001),Hs-CRP(r=-0.242,P<0.001).2.In STEMI patients,The difference of WBC(t=-4.550,P<0.001),NLR(t=-4.762,P<0.001)and Hs-CRP(t=-5.623,P<0.001)between the two groups was also statistically significant.Spearman correlation analysis showed significant negative correlation between HDL-C and WBC(r =-0.302,P = 0.002),NLR(r =-0.372,P < 0.001),Hs-CRP(r =-0.387,P < 0.001).3.In NSTE-ACS patients,The difference of WBC(t=-2.313,P=0.022),NLR(t=-3.312,P=0.001)and Hs-CRP(t=-3.669,P < 0.001)between the two groups was statistically significant.Spearman correlation analysis showed significant negative correlation between HDL-C and WBC(r=-0.155,P=0.011),NLR(r=-0.187,P=0.011),Hs-CRP(r =-0.236,P = 0.001).Conclusions: 1.In ACS patients,WBC,NLR and Hs-CRP were significantly different among different HDL-C levels, and there was a significant negative correlation between HDL-C and WBC,NLR and Hs-CRP.2.There were statistically significant differences between WBC,NLR,and Hs-CRP in STEMI and NSTE-ACS patients with different HDL-C levels, and there was a significant negative correlation between HDL-C and three inflammatory markers. |
