Study On The Present Situation And Influencing Factors Of Occupational Commitment Of The Old-age Care Providers In Hunan Province

Objective:To investigate the present situation of the occupational commitment of the old-age care providers in Hunan province and analyzing its influencing factors,the paper aims to provide reference for the improvement of the occupational commitment and stabilization of the old-age care providers.Methods:Studying the old-age care providers in Hunan province and adopting the random sampling,the investigation,from June 2016 to September 2016,selects the old-age care providers in 32 old-age care institutions in Changsha-Zhuzhou-Xiangtan Area,Dongting Lake Area,southern Hunan and western Hunan as the research object.The investigation conducts a questionnaire survey including general information,occupational commitment,general self-efficacy scale and analyzes the data with SPSS18.0 statistical package.The statistical methods are composed of statistical description,t-test,one-way analysis of variance,LSD pairwise comparison,Pearson correlation analysis and multiple linear stepwise regression analysis.Results:(1)Scores of the occupational commitment and other commitmentsThe score of the occupational commitment of 516 old-age care providers are(3.47±0.45)among which emotional commitment is(4.03±0.57),normative commitment is(3.79±0.62),the commitment of economic costs is(3.37±0.67),the commitment of emotional costs is(2.99±0.72)and choice commitment is(2.91±0.64).(2)Scores of self-efficacyThe score of the self-efficacy of 516 old-age care providers is(2.72±0.56)and the scores of different areas are Dongting Lake Area(2.89±0.5 6),Changsha-Zhuzhou-Xiangtan Area(2.60±0.56),southern Hunan(2.73±0.57)and western Hunan(2.65±0.54).(3)Results of the correlation analysis of the occupational commitment,other commitments and self-efficacyThe occupational commitment and self-efficacy of 516 old-age care providers show positive correlation.r is 0.32 and p is less than 0.01.The emotional commitment and self-efficacy show positive correlation.r is 0.318 and p is less than 0.01.The normative commitment and self-efficacy show positive correlation.r is 0.318 and p is less than 0.01.Self-efficacy and the commitment of economic costs show positive correlation.r is 0.232 and p is less than 0.01.Self-efficacy and the commitment of emotional costs show positive correlation.r is 0.248 and p is less than 0.01.(4)Result of the analysis of the influencing factors of occupational commitment.The influencing factors include age,support of family members,signing of employment contract,training experiences and self-efficacy(p is less than 0.01).The equation of multiple linear stepwise regression is Y=2.479-0.200x8a-0.236x8b+0.229x15+0.112x14+0.064x 1-0.117x9.Conclusions:(1)The occupational commitment of the old-age care providers in Hunan province is at the intermediate level and the old-age care providers maintain good stability.(2)The influencing factors include age,support of family members,signing of employment contract,training experiences and self-efficacy.
