| Objective: Typing of syndrome differentiation with essential hypertension patients in TCM Syndrome Elements, through the retina blood oxygen saturation quantitative measurement, studies Essential Hypertension disease and TCM Syndrome of retina blood oxygen saturation characteristic. Methods: Testing the retinal oxygen saturations of 90 essential hypertension patients and 91 healthy people by retinal oximetry.Analyzing the pictures according to the protocol, then calculating the results the retinal oxygen saturations of both arteries and veins. At the same time, complete the signs information table of traditional Chinese medicine for the sake of obtain the traditional Chinese medicine syndrome types.Comparing the difference of retinal oxygen saturations between the essential hypertension patients and healthy people.Comparing the changes of retinal oxygen saturations between the different traditional Chinese medicine syndrome types of the essential hypertension patients. Results: 1.At last,84 essential hypertension patients’ retinal oxygen saturations were came out, among which the difference between the men and women, between the different ages have no statistical significance(P >0.05);the difference between different course of diabetics have no statistical significance(P >0.05).2.The retinal average artery oxygen saturations of the essential hypertension patients are higher than the healthy people, which is significant difference statistically(P<0.01).The retinal each quadrant artery oxygen saturations of the essential hypertension patients are higher than the healthy people, however, only the superior temporal, inferior temporal and inferior temporal are significant difference statistically(P<0.01),and superior nose is significant difference statistically(P<0.05).The retinal superior temporal quadrant, superior nose quadrant and inferior temporal quadrant vein oxygen saturations of the essential hypertension patients are lower than the healthy people, which are not significant difference statistically(P >0.05).The retinal superior nasal quadrant vein oxygen saturations of the essential hypertension patients is higher than the healthy people, which is not significant difference statistically(P>0.05).The retinal arterio-venous oxygen saturations differences of the essential hypertension patients are higher than the healthy people, which is significant difference statistically(P <0.01).3.The retinal superior nasal quadrant artery oxygen saturations of the syndrome of exuberant fire in the liver are higher than syndrome of stagnation of phlegm-dampness,which is significant difference statistically(P<0.05).The retinal average artery oxygen saturations of the syndrome of exuberant fire in the liver are higher than syndrome of deficiency of both yin and yang, which is significant difference statistically(P<0.05).The retinal average vein oxygen saturations of the syndrome of exuberant fire in the liver are higher than syndrome of stagnation of phlegm-dampness,which is significant difference statistically(P<0.05).The retinal superior nasal quadrant vein oxygen saturations of the syndrome of exuberant fire in the liver are higher than syndrome of stagnation of phlegm-dampness,which is significant difference statistically(P<0.05).Among the four different syndromes of traditional Chinese medicine, syndrome of exuberant fire in the liver’s retinal artery oxygen saturations are the highest, deficiency of both yin and yang’s are the lowest, the retinal artery oxygen saturations of syndrome of stagnation of phlegm-dampness and syndrome of hyperactivity of yang due to yin deficiency are between the highest and lowest.Among the retinal vein oxygen saturations of four different syndromes of traditional Chinese medicine, syndrome of exuberant fire in the liver’ are the highest, syndrome of stagnation of phlegm-dampness’ are the lowest, the retinal vein oxygen saturations of syndrome of deficiency of both yin and yang and the syndrome of hyperactivity of yang due to yin deficiency are between the highest and lowest. Conclusion: 1.The retinal average oxygen saturations of the essential hypertension patients are different with the healthy people, which indicates that the retinal average oxygen saturations have changed in the essential hypertension patients. It offers a new thinking about the pathogenesis of Diabetic Retinopathy. It also prompts the change of the oxygen saturations of the diabetics which might provide the new way to prevent, diagnose and treat the essential hypertension.2.Among the different syndromes of traditional Chinese medicine of essential hypertension, the retinal average oxygen saturations are different too.The highest retinal average oxygen saturations is the syndrome of exuberant fire in the liver, which confirms the rationality and scientificity of using traditional Chinese medicine to typing of syndrome differentiation of essential hypertension, diagnosing and treating it based on theory of TCM.3.Studying the systemic diseases through extracting and analyzing the information of eyes, which would enrich and develop the theory of “diagnosis through eyes of TCM”. |
