The Brain Protection Of Salvia Miltiorrhiza Polyphenols For Injection To Acute Cerebral Infarction

Objective:To observe the curative effect of Salvia miltiorrhiza polyphenolic injection for acute cerebral infarction,and to explore its possible mechanism.Methods:The clinical trial enrolled 143 patients who are acute cerebral infarction.According to whether salvia miltiorrhiza polyphenolic was given,it was divided into two groups,the routine treatment group(control group)and the group for being treated with salvia miltiorrhiza polyphenolic injection(observation group).Participants in two groups were treated for 2 weeks.The clinical effect was evaluated by observing the NIHSS、mRS and the Barthel index of ADL before and after treatment.By determining the serum NSE、MDA and SOD and observing the changes of metabolites in local brain tissue before and after treatment to clarify the brain protection.Results:1.The total effective rate of observation group was 89.55%,which was significantly higher than the control group(67.11%,P < 0.05).2.After treatment,the NIHSS score and BI index of observation group were significantly better than control group(P < 0.05).3.The density of SOD increased,NSE and MDA decreased and the degree of these changes in observation group were significantly higher than those in control group(P <0.05).4.In two groups the ratio of NAA/Cr and Cho/Cr were significantly higher than that before treatment,and the increase of NAA/Cr in the observation group was significantlyhigher than that in the control group(P < 0.05).But there was no significant difference between the two groups about the increase of Cho/Cr.5.The outcome of two subgroups showed that there was no significant difference whether the clinical efficacy or not the changes of data within 3 days or 4-7 days after the onset of the disease.Conclusion:1.The salvia miltiorrhiza polyphenolic injection can significantly improve the neurological function and the ability of daily life of patients in acute phase of cerebral infarction.And it may not be affected by the onset time.2.The effect of this injection to cerebral infarction may be play the role by reducing the level of MDA and increasing the SOD to eliminate free radicals.The neuro protective effect was achieved by lowering the level of NSE and improving the level of local brain tissue metabolism.
