| Objective:1.To analyze the effect of nasal ventilation function and psychological state of patients with structural rhinitis before and after operation.2.To explore the correlation between subjective and objective indicators of nasal ventilation function.3.To explore the relationship and correlation between mental state and nasal ventilation function.Methods:We adopted prospective study design 48 cases with structural rhinitis were randomly selected for the object of study,including patients with septum and turbinate hypertrophy or gasification 96 unilateral nasal cavities in total,According to the patient’s condition,the septoplasty、turbinate or inferior turbinate fracture were performed.The patients were assessed before the operation and after 4 weeks.Subjective assessment with visual analogous scale(VAS)was evaluated in patients with sinus congestion.The anxiety and depression self-rating scale(SAS,SDS)was applied to evaluate the psychological personality of patients.At the same time,The objective evaluation method of nasal ventilation function was performed by active anterior Rhinomanometry and Acoustic rhinometry。Evaluation indicators include effective resistance(ER),0-6cm nasal cavity volume(NCV6),2-5cm nasal cavity volume(NCV2-5),nasal minimal cross sectional area(NMCA),distance of the minimal cross sectional area from the nostril(DCAN)and Etc.The data collected were described and analyzed with statistical description,Non-parametric rank sum paired test,linear correlation regression.Results:1.The proportion of patients with anxiety and depression before surgery was about 8.3%.The postoperative scores of these patients returned to normal.Preoperative SAS,SDS and nasal effective resistance were positively correlated,and correlation analysis was statistically significant(P<0.05)2.The postoperative score of VAS was significantly lower than that before surgery,and the difference of t-test before and after surgery was statistically significant(P<0.05).Preoperative VAS and R总were positively correlated,and correlation analysis was statistically significant(P<0.05)3.The nasal resistance was reduced before surgery and the difference was statistically significant;The statistical results of effective resistance,NMCA,NCV6 and NCV2-5 in the nasal septum deviation side group were statistically significant(P<0.05).There was a negative correlation and the difference was statistically significant.However,the statistical results of relative side indicators were not statistically significant.4.The skew side/side ratio of NMCA and ER were closer to 1,P<0.05,and the difference was statistically significant before and after surgery.Conclusions:Structural rhinitis not only causes nasal ventilation dysfunction,but also causes anxiety and depression.After initial outpatient screening,there was still a certain proportion of patients with different levels of depression anxiety,which improved with the improvement of nasal ventilation function after surgery.There was a certain correlation between subjective and objective evaluation of nasal ventilation function,anxiety and depression scale score and nasal resistance.Therefore,nasal ventilation function should be comprehensively evaluated in clinic,and it is necessary and clinical significance to carry out psychological evaluation on patients with structural rhinitis. |
