The Application And Countermeasures Of Wechat In Middle-aged And Elderly Health Education

As the current inc idence of chronic diseases among middle-aged and elderly people is high and problem of aging becomes severer,health education for middle-aged and elderly people becomes more important.However,its supply is relatively inadequate and the effect is not satisfying.The development of we-media such as WeChat has created new forms and ways for health education.However,the information on WeChat is ted ious,and difficult to be distinguished between true and false.It is imperative to regulate WeChat health education.This artic le analyzes and demonstrates the necessity and feasibility of applying WeChat to health education for the middle-aged and the elderly by studying in health education and we-media related theories,doing surveys and interviews.Through multistage random sampling methods,Yuzhong District,Jiulongpo District,Beibei District,and Banan District were selected to conduct surveys,and we investigated these middle-aged and elderly people on their health education needs,and the use of WeChat.We received 445 valid questionnaires for the needs of WeChat health education.The influencing factors of the need for WeChat health education among the elderly were analyzed.In general,there is a large demand for health education among the middle-aged and the elderly,and they too have needs for WeChat health education.However,only 15.3%,which is a very small proportion,of respondents are aware of authorized WeChat subscriptions of health education.According to the interview results and surveys,from the aspect of health education provider,the insuffic ient human resources and funding,low quality of health education,are some problems of health education now.Medical institutions also have some problems of using WeChat to carry out health education,like lacking pro fessional WeChat operational personnel,unattractive contents on their WeChat subscriptions,and medical institutions do not pay enough attention to it,and carry out with little enthus iasm.In the end,the paper analyzes and discusses the problems existing in the health education of WeChat from the supply side and the demand side of health education,and proposes countermeasures and suggestions relatively.
