| Objective To systematic review the diagnostic value of fractionated exhaled nitric oxide for asthma-chronic obstructive pulmonary disease overlap syndrome from chronic obstructive pulmonary disease. Methods We electronically searched databases including PubMed,EMbase,The Cochrane Library,CNKI,VIP,WF from inception to February2018,to collect studies on use of fractionated exhaled nitric oxide for differentiating asthma-chronic obstructive pulmonary disease overlap syndrome from chronic obstructive pulmonary disease. After assessing the quality of the included studies by using Quality Assessment of Diagnostic Accuracy Studies(QUADAS-2),The Meta-Disc software(version1.4)was used for meta-analysis.Results A total of 6 studies involving 759 patients were included. The results of Meta-analyses showed the pooled sensitivity, specificity, positive likelihood ratio, negative likelihood ratio and diagnosticodds ratio were 0.69[95%CI(0.64,0.74)],0.69[95%CI(0.64,0.74)],4.13[95%CI(3.05,5.60)],0.35[95%CI(0.23,0.55)],12.53[95%CI(6.04,25.99)],and the AUC of SROC were 0.8918(SE=0.0336).Conclusion Fractionated exhaled nitric oxide has a medium diagnostic value to differentiate for asthma-chronic obstructive pulmonary disease overlap syndrome from chronic obstructive pulmonary disease, which could be used as one of the selecting test of asthma-chronic obstructive pulmonary disease overlap syndrome. |
