Prevention And Treatment Of Complications After Endoscopic Retrograde Cholangiopancreatograrhy

At present,endoscopic retrograde cholangiopancreatography(ERCP)have been developed from a simple diagnostic method to a therapeutic method of biliary pancreatic disease in more than 40 years.Compared to surgical treatment,it’s minimally invasive,effective,quick recovery and so on.But as an invasive and technology required procedure,complications are inevitable.If the complications can’t be recognized in time,they will lead to severe consequences,and even put the patients in risk,which limits the application of ERCP.We have rich experience and measures on ERCP common complications such as post-ERCP pancreatitis,hemorrhage,infection,perforation,but with the deepening of ERCP in using,ERCP related air embolism,hepatic subcapsular hematoma,spleen injury and pneumothorax have been reported more and more over years.So fully understanding of the risk factors,prevention and treatment is very important.This article reviews the risk factors,prevention and treatment progress of multiple complications of ERCP.
