Objectives To investigate the relationship of cumulative high sensitivity creactive protein(cumhs CRP)and all-cause mortality. Methods The first physical examination for Kailuan workers(in-service and retired workers)was taken by 11 hospitals affiliated Tangshan Kailuan Group during June 2006 to October 2007.Then the physical examination was conducted every two years in the population.Which were the second, third and forth physical examinations in 2008-2009,2010-2011 and 2012-2013.And during each physical examination, health questionnaire, physical examination, high sensitivity C reactive protein, high and low density lipoprotein and three acylglycerol were collected, and annual death information was collected through Kailuan social security system. Finally,a totall of 55169 participants were recruited in our study. The participants were divided into four groups according to the cumhs CRP,s quartile, then comparing the incidence of all-cause death rate of each group, and analysis of cumhs CRP exposure on all-cause mortality by multivariate Cox proportional hazard regression. Results 55169 cases were in a mediam follow-up of 4.92 years, and there were 1772 cases occurred died. The incidence of all cause death and cumulative mortality rate from the first group to the forth group were 221(1.6%),327(2.4%),445(3.2%)and 779(5.6%),respectively.When adjusted for other confounding factors(included Age,sex, systolic blood pressure, diastolic blood pressure, body mass index, fasting blood glucose, total cholesterol, three acylglycerol, high and low density lipoprotein and baseline high sensitivity creactive protein),data from the Cox regression analysis showed that the HR(95%CI)of the risk of all-cause mortality were 1.21(1.01~1.44),1.34(1.13~1.59),1.82(1.54~2.14)in each exposured groups, but the HR(95%CI)of the risk of all-cause mortality was 0.99(0.99~1.01).In addition, while every 10mg/L ยท years increase in cumhs CRP,the HR(95%CI)of the risk of all-cause mortality was 1.05(1.04~1.06).Conclusions Long higher cumhs CRP exposure is an independent risk factor for all-cause mortality.Compared with baseline hs CRP,higher cumhs CRP exposure was associated with all-cause mortality was stronger.
