[Objective]To study the early complications after mitral valve replacement in patients with preoperative persistent atrial fibrillation(AF)and to provide treatment basis for our surgical treatment and treatment of AF.[Methods]A total of 46 patients undergoing simple mitral valve replacement(MVR)for rheumatic mitral valve disease(MVD)at the Department of From January 2015 to January 2018,he was admitted to the cardiovascular surgery department of the Second Affiliated Hospital of Kunming Medical University.per the inclusion and exclusion criteria.Patients with or without persistent AF were divided into AF group and sinus rhythm(SR)group.Left atrial size(end diastolic),left ventricular ejection fraction(LVEF),left ventricular diameter(LVID)and pulmonary arterial pressure(PAP).recorded before surgery,7-10 days after surgery and 3 months after surgery respectively. The time of cardiopulmonary bypass, postoperative lactate level, mechanical ventilation time of ventilator, postoperative length of(cardiac care unit)CCU stay, hospitalization days, hospitalization costs and postoperative pulmonary complications were recorded and the related comparative study was carried out.[Results]The recovery of cardiac function in patients from both groups was satisfactory and the patients undergoing concomitant tricuspid annuloplasty had good tricuspid valve function. There was no significant difference in LAD,LVID,LVEF,and PAP between AF group and SR group before surgery,7-10 days after surgery and 3 months after surgery(P>0.05).There was no significant difference in cardiopulmonary bypass between the two groups(P<0).05).The postoperative pulmonary complications, hyperlactacidemia, mechanical ventilation time, length of CCU stay, hospitalization days and hospitalization costs were statistically different(P<0.05).[Conclusion]AF can significantly affect the postoperative recovery.Patients may have a slower recovery after MVR and need more time to recover,There were more complications after the operation. Therefore, intraoperative radiofrequency ablation(RF)should be performed during concomitant MVR in patients with AF.
