Objective: To investigate postmenopausal female patients with Osteoporotic vertebral compression fractures(OVCF)who have suffered osteoporotic vertebral compression fracture(OVCF),and to analyze fracture risk assessment tool(FRAX)to predict osteoporosis The practical value of vertebral compression fractures is to evaluate the accuracy of FRAX prediction for fragility fractures in elderly women and to discuss the threshold of intervention for fragility fractures in the elderly. Methods: The clinical data of 416 female patients in outpatient and inpatient departments of spinal surgery at our hospital were analyzed.Patients were divided into fracture group(OVCF fracture occurred,n = 206)and control group(no fracture occurred according to whether OVCF was combined,n = 210).According to age,the fracture group and the control group were divided into four groups: 50-59 years old,60-69 years old,70-79 years old,and 80-89 years old. Each patient was examined for bone mineral density and calculated by FRAX.Results: Using the FRAX tool for current fracture risk assessment and reverse fracture risk assessment 10 years ago,the current probability of major osteoporotic fractures in the fracture group and control group was 5.93±2.56 and 4.89±2.16,respectively;fracture group and control group 10 years ago.The probability of major osteoporotic fractures was 3.88±1.96 and 3.03±1.59,respectively,and there was a statistically significant difference in the FRAX results between the fracture group and the control group(P<0.05).The use of BMD to predict fracture risk only identified 93(45.1%)patients in the fracture group requiring intervention(T ?-2.5)and 173(84%)patients using FRAX(intervention threshold 4%).,Tips to predict the risk of fragility fractures,FRAX and BMD more accurate;and FRAX combined with BMD and non-BMD calculation of the probability of major osteoporotic fractures, there is a statistically significant difference(P <0.05),combined with BMD calculations The FRAX value is more sensitive.FRAX can identify the risk of fragility fractures at different age groups in the fracture group and the control group. When age-related thresholds are set for different age groups, when the 50-59-year-old intervention threshold is 3.0%,the corresponding predicted fracture fracture rate is 81.3%,and when the 60-69-year-old intervention threshold is 4.0%,the compliance rate is 95.1%.The coincidence rate was 96.2% when the intervention threshold was 50% for 70 to 79 years old,and the compliance rate was 93.8% when the intervention threshold for 80-89 years old was 5.0%.Conclusion: The FRAX tool can accurately predict the risk of osteoporotic vertebral compression fractures, and the FRAX value calculated in combination with femoral neck BMD is more sensitive. In this study, age correlation threshold was established in middle-aged and elderly women, which could guide the clinical prevention of osteoporotic fracture.
