ObjectivesTo develop a chronic hepatitis B follow-up patients’ assessments scale on the basis of the KAP theory, and to test the reliability and validity of the scale to form an operational and feasible evaluation tool.Methods(1)Based on the KAP theory, literature research methods,semi-structured interviews, and consultation with clinical specialists of liver diseases, were used to prepare a scale of the chronic hepatitis B antiviral treatment follow-up patients.(2)Two rounds of Delphi expert consultation methods were adopted to evaluate the importance of the scale with the survey of 20 clinical experienced medical and nursing experts in China, and to amend and delete the corresponding items.Second round of result items are retained to form the first draft of the scale.(3)Using a random sampling method,330 CHB follow-up patients who were from The Third People’s Hospital of Shenzhen, were as the samples.Discreteness analysis,Cronbach’s α coefficient, discrimination method, correlation analysis method were used to analyze and filter the items. The reliability of the scale were evaluated by Cronbach’s α coefficient,split-half reliability. The validity of the scale was evaluated by content validity, expert validity, and construct validity.Results(1)Construction of item poolAccording to the principle of objectivity, orientation and feasibility of the scale design, the entry pool and structure of the antiviral treatment compliance rating scale for chronic hepatitis B follow-up patients were constructed with 3 dimensions of knowledge, attitude and behavior of the patients who were followed up with the antiviral therapy of hepatitis B.The original scale included 41 items.(2)Item selectionThe experts ’positive coefficients in two rounds of consultations were 86.9% and 95%,respectively in the second round of consultation, the experts’ coefficient of determination was 0.91;familiar coefficient was 0.87;authority coefficient was 0.91.Both of the coordination coefficients were statistically significant(P<0.001),and 39 items were kept. With the discrete degree,Cronbach’s α coefficient, differentiation, correlation analysis, knowledge dimension(3 common factors and 10 items),attitude dimension(2 common factors and8 items),behavior dimensions(5 common factorsand12 items)were kept. There was30 items in the scale.(3)Reliability testThe Cronbach’s α coefficient of the scale were 0.915,The Cronbach’s α coefficients of 3 dimension were:0.871-0.928,and;the half-value coefficients of 3 dimension was 0.826-0.849.The half-coefficient of the scale was 0.813.There were statistical significance(P<0.05).(4)Validity testContent validity were good,Exploratory factor analysis was required;the cumulative variance contribution rates of 3 dimension were 55.285%-77.156%;Their correlation coefficients were0.329-0.582.The correlation coefficient between the factors and the scale scores was more than 0.7,and the correlation was statistically(P<0.05).Conclusions(1)“Evaluation Scale for KAP of Antiviral Therapy for Follow-up Patients with Chronic Hepatitis B.”A total of 30 items are divided into 3 dimensions. There are 10 items in knowledge dimension,8 items in attitude dimension, and 12 items in behavioral dimension.(2)“Evaluation Scale of KAP with Antiviral Therapy for Follow-up Patients with Chronic Hepatitis B” has good reliability and validity. It can be recommended as a tool for assessing compliance with antiviral therapy in follow-up patients with chronic hepatitis B in clinical study.
