| Objective:Through the retrospective analysis of the data of patients with colon polyps,we want to understand the characteristics and influencing factors of colon polyps in Korean and Han people in the region and provide a reference for clinical diagnosis and treatment of colon polyps.Methods:The clinical data of patients diagnosed as colon polyps diagnosed by colonoscopy at the Affiliated Hospital of Yanbian University from January 2012 to December 2016 are collected.We group all patients into Korean nationality and Han nationality,collecting two groups of patients with gender,age,smoking history,history of drinking,starting symptoms,parts and polyp recurrence quantity,size,pathological type and cancerous conditions.Results:1.General situation analysis.In 2012-2016,there were 1137 patients with colon polyps,and 971 patients had complete data and criteria,among them 507 Koreans and 464 Hans.There were 715 males and 256 females.The average age of onset was 56.67± 10.19 years old.The minimum was 20 years old,and the maximum was 85 years old.Young people(≤44 years old)accounted for 10.5%,middle-aged(45-59 years old)48.7%,and the elderly(≥60 years old)40.8%.There were 488 smokers and 483 non-smokers;there were 541 alcohol drinkers and 430 non-drinkers.The most common cases were asymptomatic patients(55.9%),followed by diarrhea(11.8%),blood in the stool(10.2%),abdominal discomfort(9.8%),abdominal pain(5.8%),and constipation(3.8%),changes in bowel habits(1.4%),abdominal distension(1.3%).The site of the disease was left colon in 462 cases,right colon in 212,and total colon in 297.65 recurrences occurred after resection and 906 patients did not relapse.There were 22 cancer patients and 949 noncancerous patients.There were 282 cases of single polyps and 689 cases of multiple polyps.There were 247 cases of polyp with diameter of ≤ 0.5cm,432 cases of 0.6cm to 1.0cm,and 679 cases of>1.0cm.There were 601 cases of adenomatous polyps and 370 cases of non-adenomatous polyps.2.Comparative analysis of clinical data of colon polyps in Korean and Han people.(1)There was a statistically significant difference in the incidence of polyps between Korean and Han males(P<0.05).(2)The composition ratio of the Koreans in the older group was higher than that of the Hans,with a significant difference(P<0.05).(3)The proportion of colonic polyps who had a history of drinking in Korean was higher than that of Hans who had a history of drinking,and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).(4)The incidence of multiple colon polyps in the Korean population was higher than that of the Han nationality,and the difference between the two groups was statistically significant(P<0.05).(5)There was no significant difference in smoking,first diagnosis,pathogenesis,pathological type,recurrence rate,malignancy rate,and differences in the number of polyps between different ethnic groups in different age groups(P>0.05).Conclusion:1.The incidence rate of male colon polyps in both ethnic groups was higher than that of females,and the incidence of Korean males was higher than that of Han males.2.The middle-aged and old people of the two ethnic groups are with high incidence of colon polyps,and the incidence of Korean is higher than that of Han.3.The incidence rate of patients with drinking history in both ethnic groups was significantly higher than those without drinking history,and the incidence of colonic polyps in Koreans with a history of drinking was higher than that of Han people.4.The multiple polyps of both nationalities were significantly higher than those of single polyps.The Korean multiple polyps were higher than the Han group. |
