| Beef is an important meat product for improving the dietary structure of residents. At the same time, beef cattle breeding is one of the industries with great development potential in China’s animal husbandry.Northeast China,as one of the four major beef cattle producing areas in the country, provides a strong guarantee for the full supply of beef throughout the country. However,in recent years, beef cattle farmers have faced the phenomenon of price inversion of beef cattle, and the economic benefits of beef cattle farmers have been severely lost. What is the current economic benefit of beef cattle breeding? What factors have a significant impact on the economic benefits of beef cattle breeding? Do these factors have the same effect on different breeding subjects? How to improve the economic benefits of beef cattle breeding? A detailed and accurate understanding of the above situation is of great significance to help the majority of beef cattle farmers to develop steadily,to provide a reference basis for the beef cattle breeding industry, and to provide relevant government departments with a basis for policy formulation. This paper first uses the data obtained from the investigation of beef cattle breeding subjects in the Northeast region by the National Economic Research Institute of Beef Yak Industry Technology System to analyze the overall economic benefits of beef cattle breeding, and then analyzes the economic benefits of different breeding subjects.Secondly, the qualitative analysis of the influential factors of the economic benefits of beef cattle breeding, and based on this,a multiple linear regression model was established to analyze the influential factors of the economic benefits of different breeding agents. Finally, according to the factors that affect the economic benefits of different breeding entities, policy suggestions for improving the economic benefits of beef cattle breeding are put forward. This article draws the following conclusions: First, there are differences in economic benefits among beef cattle breeding subjects. The average economic benefit(cost-benefit ratio)of beef cattle breeding is 22.93%,that of large-scale farmers is 26.02%,that of medium-scale farmers is 22.75%,that of small-scale farmers is 19.78%,Overall,the economic benefits of large-scale farmers are greater than that of small-scale farmers.Secondly, the influencing factors of the economic benefits of beef cattle breeding of different breeding subjects show differences. The three factors, the size of the cultivated land, the source of the larvae, and the breeding scale, have a significant impact on the economic benefits of small-scale beef cattle farmers. The six factors of education level, breeding years, labor force, cultivated land size, participation in cooperatives, and epidemic prevention subsidies have a significant impact on the economic benefits of medium-scale beef cattle farmers. The four factors of trading methods, participation in cooperatives, technical training, and epidemic prevention subsidies have a significant impact on the economic benefits of large-scale beef cattle farmers. In view of the above research conclusions, this article proposes policy recommendations from three levels of farmers, industry and government: First, farmers should focus on production management, change the production mode of beef cattle, and take a sustainable development breeding path. The second is that the industry should speed up the construction of beef cattle breeding cooperatives and the "leading enterprise + breeder" model of cattle breeding, develop modern animal husbandry, and strengthen the ability of farmers to resist market risks.Third, the government has a good regulation and guidance function on the beef cattle industry, which is an important guarantee for the healthy development of the beef cattle industry. It can strengthen regulation and management in terms of policy, finance, and technology. |
